Prostitution, drugs, and murder. Is this Washington DC or little ole Charlottesville? For those of you in the "Progressive Movement, keep trying to deny the fact that your way of dealing with child rearing and criminal prosecution isn't working. The rest of us will continue to use common sense to direct our lives.

Hey, I'm with you, Pal. I'm just waiting for November of next year. Too bad it's not a criminal offense to sell your soul for political power and I'm talking about members of both parties.

Come on - whatever happeneded to your spirit if free enterprise. These are just small business owners trying to "make it big." Their crime is providing stimulus and customer satisfaction for a fee. What could be wrong with those business goals? Just because a law was broken doesn't make their crime(s) worse that a ponzi scheme or a defrauding of medicare - does it? Spend some law time on illegal aliens and other large sector criminals and stop "busting" the chops of industrious entrepreneurs in the pleasure business. Oh yeah, I forgot about STDs and AIDs and herpes and gonorea and syphilus but why should I worry, the healthcare system will ignore them and the freebie illegal aliens who ooze their open sores and pussy ways in to ERs.

Sounds to me that if 10 people got arrested in 4 days, we have a real problem with prostitution that needs to be addressed. If we had more free apartments, and free cable, and more welfare, these poor people wouldn't have to do this type of thing. Please donate to the Jefferson area Food bank.

Does this really surprise anyone?Prostitution is one of the oldest trades known to man.Do you think this just suddenly started happening in the area lately?...lol.There have been street walkers in cville and other areas for years, but with the internet just makes it a less chance of being caught.I guess these ten individuals just got to brave and let thier guard down and now they will face jail time.Im glad to see cville police doing a good job of switching up the investigative techniques to combat this problem. Let's just hope this will curb the problem before they start targeting our younger teens and children.

How are they ever going to get turkey, stuffing and all the fix'ns and Christmas gifts for their children when their business has been shut down? That's why I'm donating to the food bank and the Christmas funds - so they will enjoy their prison time without worrying about their kids having a new iPhone or XBox. I want theirs' to be happy, well-adjusted children and i know their parents will be oh so grateful !

Another waste...10 people in 4 days for a misdemeanor. All because they got complaints from people w/ nothing better to do than whine about someone else's immorality. I don't and won't pay for it, but I could care less if someone else does

And I thought the CPD was out looking for clues in the Morgan Harrington case. I guess this is a perfect example of picking "low hanging fruit". Maybe they can bust a kid for a couple dime bags of pot, too. Get 'em Fido.

It is possible she was picked up and put into prostitution or sold to a prostitution ring.

I saw these ladies' photos on the news last night and my eyes still hurt. Someone actually paid good money for their services? That is just wrong.

Well I have known girls like these before and really one needs to look at it in a positive way. For example some of the men that frequent these ladies have MS or some other neurological diseases where they cant perform properly. These ladies help these gentlemen. I knew one girl that even had a doctor who had gotten his privates blown up by a land mine in Korea. His wife left him for his best friend. He got the theuraputic help he needed by seeing a massage specialist. So, lets not judge these fine outstanding women. Lets salute them. Let me also salute the police as, I hear that they inticed these ladies into entrapment in a hotel room, offered them alcholic drinks before arresting them. At least one of them was under 21. I guess we will not hear about that.

Tis the season, and those who don't mind taking a chance on AIDS or anything else, are finally out working to add to their welfare checks. Their not just working under the table, but on top of whatever or whoever. The other so-called hard workers (ShopLifters) are also out there doing their thing. They either steal and give as gifts, or steal and sell for drug money. The ones that are really capitalist, take orders from potential clients,(crooks who don't want to pay the retail price)as to the item(s),color, size, etc., then charge their customers a cash mark-down price, saving the client 50% or better on the sale. The money these people make, and the little or no jail time served, appears to make it worth their while in this business. SO stores, your Black Friday, will be their Green Monday. Merry Christmas

I saw these girls on tv also last night and couldn't believe my eyes to one of them I saw. My son went to school with her and never in a million years would I have expected to see her arrested, let alone for something like this. She certainly took a wrong turn in life somewhere. They have no idea (or just think it won't happen to them) at the risk they're taking with their health. Guess they think it's fairly easy money, that is till they get caught but that will just get them a slap on the wrist. Remember the one on commonwealth not to long ago???

What a crock of sheis. There is a willing seller and a willing buyer, and as for diseases, there is a condom. Once again, if it is legal trade it can be regulated, taxed, and monitored to protect all participants from assaults, thefts, and biohazards. Until the law gets out of the business of enforcing morals, I consider legal authorities to be a threat to my freedom. You people whining about this are the first to whine about welfare culture, well these girls were going to work! I think most of you are afraid if prostitution were legal your daughters would be richer than you are.
