TOTALY AWSOME .

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT and never let the Monster WIN .

But if I had information .... CAll who you feel comfortable with your info .

I would contact the VSP .... UVA has got better , these alerets are GREAT .

THEY CANNOT HANDLE these rape-abduction and murders cases ! PERIOD ... its too much .

NO DESCRIPTION LADIES of what the guy looks like... or even if the girl didn't know .

This is loaded with great info for the public to help them ....everything but WHAT/who you may be looking for .

But I do agree the UVA police can help you as they state for the everyday things.

JUST NOT these kind of things.

No description of a guy in a taxi on the loose.

CALL THE VSP, FBI or your preacher... but keep reaching until somebody LISTENS to you .

It was February 17th at 2:30 AM, making that early Sunday morning, not Monday.

So you're out walking alone at 2:30am as a single woman and you get in a car with a stranger?

While I agree that it was a bad decision on her part, it is disgusting that we are blaming the victim entirely. Is it culturally okay to take advantage of women who make bad choices? In India they're telling their sons not to rape their daughters for dressing immodestly. Do women that dress immodestly have it coming? Do we strive to be like that? At no point should it be culturally okay to molest another, and we should be like the Good Samaritan and look out for each other. Did not Jesus say,“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you?” The ethic of reciprocity transcends all religions and all cultures.

We have made the correction. It did take place on Sunday morning, not Monday. Thank you for bringing that to our attention.

Great perp description - Man with a Car. Is there any additional information that could narrow the suspect pool down to under 100 million?

It may have not been the best idea to be walking alone at 2:30 AM but there may have been a credible reason (her friend(s) left her, avoidance of drinking and driving, she got out of work late and her car didn't start, etc.). Irregardless, the problem is the guy that assaulted her.

....if the story is true at all. Was the car she got in a cab? If not, who in their right minds would just in a car with a complete stranger at that time of morning?

Unfortunately duuuu, NBC's news crew wasn't at the scene at 2AM, and must rely on those police reports for details.
Maybe the police can give you a better idea?

perhaps the girl did know the guy, but didnot see him as a threat. It is not illegal to be out at 2:30 am. Stop blaming the victim.

The reality is it takes two to commit a crime: the Victim and the Criminal. However, We shouldn't really blame the victim for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. We should use this unfortunate incidents as a lesson for others.

As stated before, don't get in a stranger's car at 2:30 in the morning. This rarely ends well.

Bunch of Kudos to the victim for not listening to those "experts" who actually recommend that victims not fight back. IMHO, her decision to take control of the situation is what allowed her to escape. I hope this is the lesson that other would-be victims take to heart.

There was a sorority date function that dropped everyone off at Beta Bridge. Stop blaming the victim.
