<quoted text>No, thank the drivers in the first place, cops only react to poor behavior, they don't initiate it, at all, if anything, when you look at percentages, cops as a whole have a poor record for obeying thee law.

Okay - first off, it is WRONG to drink & drive. Make a big deal of it and you catch one (or none). How about during the period Sep 1 - Nov 30th....put up these checkpoints on Saturdays near the University and see how many you catch....Hasn't happened and won't happen. They target Foxfield Tailgaters - target the UVA Football Tailgaters if you're truly serious about combatting drunk driving - if not, stop with the BS about how serious you are.

I know for a fact that Albemarle County had no additional officers on duty for New Years Eve because I ask was told there was no Money to pay for any additional officers and at the present time there are no extra officers to call in. and it is sad that Albemarle County is in that condition.

Good that they don't have the money, they would just blow it anyway and apparently we know now they didn't need it to begin with. Albemarle cops are pretty much useless except at night when they prowl for someone with a headlight out.

As I said in an earlier reply, I saw no Albemarle police cars at all in my travels around the county between 9:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. They just weren't out there. The bluff that they will be is getting real old now. And to think they LIE to the public about it no less.

You got that right. Most recently, an Albemarle cop stealig from the police department. Before that, a Charlottesville cop stealing from his church. And before these two, the Louisa police chief stealing from the Fire Department.
Another Ignoramus or is it just one of those that have to change their pen names every other week because of pointless and useless wanna be comments. I'm sorry you couldn't make it as a cop so now you have to bash them. Too bad Channel 29 doesn't go to a Facebook based comment program. Then you couldn't hide behind your comments.

very off topic, but in response to your off topic comment.

It's not that difficult for those who want to post anonymously on facebook to do so. It's like ID laws don't prevent ID theft or crimes, and in some respects make them easier.
