This arrest doesnt excuse the actions of FSM Security nor the response to the incident from Simon Malls (not related to me by the way)In their case its Simon...Don't Say! I suggest a date be set before Christmas to boycott the Mall. Hit the merchants in the pocket and they in return can pressure the ownership to answer questions pertaining to their total lack of training and response to this incident. Saturday December 15th should be "Wall the Mall" Day. Protest and Blockade all of the entrances and encourage people shop elsewhere that day.

the biggest question that should have been answered is why did the security guards release him and why did the parents didnt report him any sooner? i believe that it should be the parents responsibility to turn the guy in at the moment it occured instead waiting for what i heard 5 hours later.

It is going to come out that this is a domestic case, and the child may be family to him.
Those that know the man know he is a clean slate and this will turn out to be false once the truth is known as to what went on.

That's a dumb idea..and isn't going to prove anything. The security is a completely separate part of the mall from the stores..so how is boycotting the stores going to show the security anything? It'll just make their job easier that day.

Excellent work Police Dept. This is a good reason why we need surveillance on the down town mall. The city council thinks its an invasion of privacy. Well maybe thats more important than saving a life!!!

You do realize if you boycott the mall you're not hurting security, you're hurting the merchants that had NOTHING to do with this? I would think in today's times with everything being as hard as it is there would be a more mature, sensible suggestion other than boycotting the merchants at the mall that had nothing to do with this. Why not suggest people email or write the owner, that hurts no one but the people responsible. Also, you have to woner why the parents did not press charges in the first place, they agreed to escorting him off the property and then much later they changed their mind and called police.

apparently the community does not know everything about everyone. this man i know him from the time he was borned until the present and this is not his character. it seems to me that the community is just trying to blame anyone for this incident and they don't care who it is to blame. the writing that was in the newspaper stated that the man was brown-skinned and had on a hoodie. my cousin is not brown-skinned as you can see, and he does not wear hoodies on his head. misjustice as far as black men are concerned has been going on too long in the past and in the present. we don't all look alike, we come in different colors, shapes and looks. it seems to me that my cousin is being blame for something that someone else. if i correct, most people who abduct children have done it before or have some form of criminal record. well, my cousin does not, he works with kids helping them to learn to play basketball and done of his students or their parents would tell you that he is this type of person. he does not have a criminal record and his character is not that of an abducted. anyone who knows him will tell you that this is not kevin. a mischaracter of justice is happening again. when will the racism and prejudice end??????????

It seems a bit unlikely that it would take the best part of a week, and the release of CCTV pictures if he were known to the family.

to the person who wrote this quote, you don't have the slightest idea of who you are talking about. you are only going by what the papers states and we all who have common sense, know that the papers is not always right, nor is the police.
