Wow, that was a sight to see.... She should be charged with child abuse. What a complete moron. That's just the kind of people that we need to be reproducing.... I'll give her a 1 time payment of $1000 to get a full hysterectomy.

Although it may not have been the best motherly decision i ever made, and i was a teenager when i made it, i smoked through my pregnancy with my daughter. She is one of the most intelligent children i have seen. She does work several grades ahead of where she should be, learns lightening fast and out thinks and reasons most adults. She has no physical or mental defects. She also doesn't get online and verbally bash people she knows nothing about.

I don't know what girl you are talking about, but perhaps instead of bashing this girl, you should have asked if she thought about quitting. Maybe even offered her some options and places to contact to help her quit. It is hard to quit.

Years ago smoking was seen as perfectly healthy. if you are over a certain age, its very likely your very own mother smoked through her pregnancy with you, or tour grandmother with her. Next time you decide to judge someone, maybe you should take a moment for your brain to kick in before your mouth flies open.

Anyone who smokes around children should be charged child neglect. Let alone being pregnant. If you choose to smoke that is your doing but please keep it away from these babies. They are not choosing to have that crap around them.

and place your children in a Zorb (google it!) until they're 30 and paint it black so they can't be influenced by the outside world

Smoking is not good but this person is more about telling others what to do than thinking about their health. If we knew them we would see that they want everyone to do everything their way.

Okay, I agree that smoking is not something that pregnant women should do or anybody for that matter but you have no right to judge!!!! Tons of babies were born to mothers who smoked and turned out just fine!!!! I guarantee you she will be a better mother than you could ever be and she's twice the person that you are because she doesn't get on a computer talking trash about someone!!!! The ONLY moron on here is you baby!!!!! So go the F**K on and find a new topic!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously say you continue smoking the first little bit of your pregnancy because you havent found out yet, then you find out. If you completely quit, it can be harmful or put your baby under stress. If just cut back and only smoke 2 or 3 a day you kind of have a balance and it doesnt affect the baby really. I listened to my doc and did what she said. I have a very healthy beautiful two year old and he never had any problems. He didnt cry for no reason or anything. I am seriously blessed with this child of mine. He is very well behaved and smarter than his own good. Lol no promlems here.

That is strange. I have known of many women who were told to quit. Yes they were told to slow down at first then slowly quit. Smoking can cause all kinds of problems. Be thankful that your child turned out fine. I have never smoked a day in my life and have a child who can not even be around smoke without having an asthma attack. The poor kid can't even walked into a store without using his inhaler. Well he could if there wasn't always someone standing at the doors smoking. He has never harmed anyone and is punished almost everyday. Half the time we can not have our car windows down for someone smoking in the next car over. So yes. Im against smoking in general. And why? Because of my baby. I did not like it before him. And now i down right hate it. I can't tell you how horrible that one last smoke for everyone else has changed my life. Those people who stand there finishing there cigarette n then my child walks by for all of a second and spend the next day hooked up to a machine. Sorry im bitter but honestly if it was there child it would affect them differently.

I don't think that cig. smoke is your child's problem, he has more serious problems with what he is breathing. I go to stores all the time and hardly ever do I see someone standing at the door smoking. Maybe you should consider getting a mask for when you take your child outdoors.

Take a flash light at night and shine it into the sky to see all the debris floating around. Look at what you are breathing, maybe that is more so of what is the problem with your child's breathing problems.

And before you start, I do not smoke.

Thank you. But i have been told by dr at Vanderbilt, Riley, as well as Kosairs that he actually has a SEVERE allergic reaction to not only the nicotine bit other ingredients in cig. All they say is to keep him away from it. That if people smoke who are planning on coming over to have them change their clothes before being around him. (We don't have company.) So not only does he have asthma but he is also highly allergic. He has worn masks when we are out. It does not help. Im surprised that you do not run into people smoking. We do almost every time we go to food lion, houchen, and even rite aid. Just be thankful that you have never had to perform cpr on you child for someone else's behavior. He stays on medicine all the time but everytime we venture out it is difficult. All he wants is to be a normal child. I do not think i am asking a lot. I only want for people to be more respectful of others while out. The wind blows it from all over.
