What would be a profitable business to start in scottsville? Any Ideas?

Nothing much will ever come here. People do not patronize businesses here.

Never-mind. I can't catch her in that powered wheelchair. Primate, buddy, nice to see you back. I don't mind you crashing in my bat-cave, but did you have to poop right beside my bat-operations terminal? Gee-wiz.

Why not? Haven't lived here very long noticed plenty of empty buildings downtown. Been trying to think of a business to open. Coffee or tea house with open mic nights for local talent or maybe something else.
A sports bar would be good but I don't think this town will go wet.

I noticed a lot of people walk to work. How about a shuttle service.
Some food delivery service besides pizza.
Dependable child care is always a winner.
Tree stump removal is hard to find.
Here's my favorite - a good bicycle shop!!

Child care service is a good idea haven't considered that one. Might have to look into that if the requirements aren't to stringent as far as facilities and insurance goes.

Sweetie,
I will open a topless bar just for you and me.
Now when I dance my boobs will swing to my waist, but in the dark you will not see that.
Primate sweety, I was so worried about you.
The back door at the nursing home is unlocked.
Come over ASAP.
Please bring the KY jelly , and the preparation H please sweety.....

People seem to prefer to shop elsewhere, that's WHY those buildings are empty.

You may be on to something I am afraid. Don't understand why people will not support there local business.

I think mostly because they want a LOT for their money, that's why they shop at Walmart and things. We don't have any malls, or stores here, and there will never be a Walmart here. It's sad.

Dollar general maerket is close to a walmart, not a bad store for a small town. Shop there regularly instead of driving to BG or Glasgow walmart.

Most of those people you see walking aren't going to work their going to see their drug dealer.

The problem is they cannot get enough unemployed deadbeats or welfare junkies to get off their butts and work...

Would love a skate park, and a theater and a bowling alley, but we won't get them. We had theaters here, they didn't stay. I wish we could get some good businesses here. Now would be nice.

Because there's not enough people here who care about "buying local." The only way a business works here is "if you're from here." Contrary to popular belief, "Scottsville is NOT a friendly city"...take it from an outsider! There's so much shady business going on in Scottsville that the "names" familiar with Scottsville will never let outsiders inside. If they did, they'd have to stop their underhanded ways such as fudging and ripping off the local government...you know, ripping off the taxpayers for their own personal gain. I've been here awhile and have had my taxes, utility bills, etc fudged with to their benefit...you have to really watch people around Scottsville, especially the people who are areas of authority...Pretty sad, huh???
