Stop breeding these dogs! They are the number one breed to end up in shelters and be put to sleep. There are SO many at rescue centers that need to be adopted first. If you love pit bulls, try working with a rescue center to rehome them.

I am a pitbull owner also (although I have never used mine for breeding), and often try to be a voice for the dying breed. Do be sure to thoroughly screen those who show interest in your puppies. Get names, phone numbers, email addresses, and most importantly vet references of your buyers. Make sure that their insurance company/landlord does not disallow the breed. Ask that they keep you posted on the pup's progress as it grows by sending pictures via email or text. If they can provide you with this, then I would say their intent is not ill-willed.

I know that dogs are animals and have feelings just like the rest of us but I tell ya before I waste my money on a dog at a refuge home that had been starved to death or beaten on a lot or mistreated in some kind of way. Then the fact that it could never have puppies for you and may turn around and bite your kid because of past experiences that these refuge places offer you for a price of course. If it were me I'd kill all the ones in the refuge homes and shelters that way there would be room for the new ones that have not been mistreated and people wouldn't feel sorry for a 50 year old dog that needs to be adopted. Which cost about the same as buying a new one so there you have it if I could have a dog here I would buy one sorry to take up the space had to speak my peace.

You only breed them for the money! Breeders and puppy mills should be outlawed! There are millions of animals dying every day in this country because there aren't enough homes for them all. YOU are adding to that problem, all for the almighty dollar!

I have a white pit pup that was given to me,I took her because she was living bad conditions! I have had her a week, she is smart& loving. I have owed Shephards & Huskies but she is different. I have been told that you can NEVER leave her alone with other dogs unsupervised , once she is older, approx 8 months old or older because they are prone to get aggressive very fast. She is such a good pup, but 8 months from now, she will be a strong , independent female. She needs to be with someone that lives in the country ,that doesn't have other pets. She needs to be fixed and under total supervision. People that have these dogs, need to be responsible pet owners to keep them in control. I have put her up for adoption , for responsible owners. These dogs need a lot of attention and total commitment . I didn't realize this till I did research and Although I live on a farm, I have other dogs. I will not put my other pets at risk! Thinking about getting a pet is serious , they will be yours for another ten years or more.

. It's so sad! To many people don't understand the responsibility of dig ownership. They are like kids, need to be well mannered, know commands, potty trained, leach broke.. I give up! Pups grow up to be large dogs, and people discard them like clothes!
