The non-support is one thing, but the probation violation is worse. They might have ordered payment on the support, either in double the support a month or a lump sum, but the violation is a jail offense. Hope he has a good lawyer.

try to get the arrearage paid off asap, it usually has to be at least 1000 behind before it is a jailable offense, then you are looking at felony flagrant non-support if that is the case. Depending on the misdemeanor charge though, you may be able to get something worked out. A job offer and a job are two different things though. If the job is definate, try to do what you can on your end to talk to the PO and/or the County attorney to see what can happen, if possible, get something in writing and a contact number for the boss if the prospective boss knows the situation or have them be there for him. I know that seems out there, but I don't know your situation, or the job this person is planning on taking. Good luck. Paying something is better than nothing, so do what you can.

Yea its a perment job..they said as soon as he gets out then the job is his but i can never seem to get a hold of his lawyer.i have called everyday for almost 2 weeks leaving messages and i have never got a call back.i really need him to hurry and get out..i dont know how much longer they can hold the job for him.i have sent a letter to the judge, his lawyer, the child support office, the da mr willis and havent heard a thing. He has 1500 bonds on both child support cases and he went to court over the probation violation and they said 12 months on that but his lawyer said if i could find him a job to send him a letter from the company stating thet would hire him asap and i did that almost 2 weeks ago...but i figured i would come on here and ask to see if anyone else has went through this or if anyone knew of anything else i could try.

you need to see about work release, there are certain forms and all, as well as an approval that is needed for that. If he has a court appointed attorney, I hate to say it, but you won't get to talk to him more than likely until his next hearing date. Is there any way to see if you can get him on the docket sooner or his date moved up, or have you tried to see if you can see the Family Court judge or stop by his office and let them know the scenario and see if they can have you speak for him to see if something can be done?

I didnt know i could do that but its not in front of the family court judge its now in front of crocker and i have sent here many letters along with a signed letter from the company asking her for a bail modification down to a signature bond.but i dont think work release would work cause its to far from the jail..but his orginal probation ends july 7th.does anyone know how that works? Does he still have to serve time over the probation violation even though his probation ends in july?

They told me the only person that can get his court date moved up would be his lawyer..thats why i have been trying to get a hold of him.and yes he is a court appointed attorney.his lawyer told me if i could find him a public job that is ready to hire him now then he could get his court date in sooner..but he wont never return my calls.

Yes this is his first violation probation...from what it says on his paperwork it is a split sentence.

I know people that have gone through this, yes. I don't think he will be able to get out until he goes to court. Since the lawyer won't call you back, or talk to you, he is going to have to wait it out in jail. There's not much more you can do, I'm sorry to say.

Ok...but do you think there is any chance he would get out come next month when he goes to court?

It's very likely. He has to come up with some of the support he is behind. It's going to be tough, but he can do it.
