I'm looking for a good place to attend church. Honestly I haven't been in years because I got fed up with the hypocritical haters and drama makers. I know we're not supposed to go to church for anyone but ourselves and to worship God, but some people make it impossible to get anything out of going when all they do is invite you to leave. If anyone knows of a good place I can go visit, please share. I don't want any crap on here, I'm honestly just looking for somewhere I can worship freely and just be myself.

Awww... Thanks. I also should have mentioned I have a special "friend" too, would that be a problem? I actually live on the outskirts of the county and we've not exactly been treated with open arms most places we've been.

We'd also love to have you at Liberty United General Baptist in Petroleum. Wherever you decide to go, please go. Fellowship with one's brothers and sisters in Christ will help you in so many ways.

You would probably like going to Pleasant Field, off the Holland Road. Everyone there is super and I know they welcome each and every person with open arms. I visit on occasion and have friends who attend faithfully. Best of luck in you and your "friend" finding a church to call home :-)

You would most assuredly be welcome at Faith Baptist church. Sunday School at 10. Preaching at 11. Donnie Meador is the pastor. He is wonderful. Jason Hightower leads the singing. It is a wonderful place to worship God. Turn at light at Dairy Queen. Last church on left just before you get to AO Smith old plant. Come. You are welcome.

Do you have a Denomonital preference or does it matter? Some people seem to forget that God loves everyone :)

I was raised Pentacostal and fell short of the standards in my home church and was all but asked to leave once the truth came out. I just want to worship with people who love God and who love eachother :-)
Thanks for the invites everyone!!!

There are a few Pentacostal churches around. Willow ave. Church Of God is a good one. You could call Pastor Danny Patrick & talk to him. He's a good guy & will steer you right.

Darlin', Don't be to concerned with traditions and standards of people or church groups. Go with what the bible teaches, if you ask you shall recieve :) You have asked and I am confident that God will lead you and your friend to a house of worship, you will be comfortable at. Don't give up or get discouraged, visit around. You will know when you have found the right place. Seek and you shall find.....God is love :)

I no longer go for my own reasons nothing to do with the church or the people but its a great place.

If by having a "special friend", you mean you are in a homosexual relationship, you do need to go to church! Don't you know that is a vile affection and an abomination in the eyes of the Lord? Maybe if you go to the right church, you will realize that you are sinning and you will start to live your life for God. These churches that open their arms to "those" relationships are wrong in the eyes of the Lord and are deceiving all who attend!

Judge not- Lest ye be judged.
Only God can judge. Encourage instead.
