Kentucky's education system is a joke.
Hellz yea it is. I was a student in McKee, Kentucky for all my life. I hated it. I didn't learn anything. Nothing. The teachers are there for a paycheck. Of course they don't care if they learn. I'm just glad I'm out of that hell hole. I mostly learned all I know today from Wikipedia.

Wikipedia? That is sad. That's just anybody who wants to say anything on there, and they are not always right. But at least you're curious. Most of the people around here are so dulled from Mt. Dew, cigs, drugs, booze and/or corn-based, GMO processed foods, no exercise...they are unhealthy, over/under weight, and thus their brains are not working correctly. Very bad, very stupid. It's not all their fault. Anderson County is bad, too. Lots of corruption and bad decisions - firing good people and letting in their greedy idiot cousins - terrible school system.

The City Manager of Pikeville is paid more than any City Official in all of Ky.

Even more than the Mayor of Lexington!

He can not spell simple words like C A T.

It is Embarassing! He gave Coach Cal a Plaque with several misspelled words.

Pikeville is the laughing stock of Ky.

Our "free and compulsory" education system is the biggest scam ever pulled. Just look at first grade class photos from the 1930-40s. Every teacher had 30-35 kids in her classroom. They learned or they failed. And the teacher was not blamed if the slow learners failed. Today a teacher has less than half as many. The slow ones still don't learn. But the teacher can't fail the ones that don't keep up and keep her job. I can see failing a teacher that fails to do what they are paid to do, but the job description should not include equal results for all.

That may explain why the City Manager majored in Art and Chorus in High School.

Actually, everyone learns better. Smaller classes sizes are scientifically proven to result in better student performance.

True that, but books do no good, what-so-ever. Not that I am a stupid brat who has a short attention span, that I am. But our books are unreadable. Tobacco spit, permanent markers, drawings of body parts. All you can think of. But another thing is that our teachers are too worried about Christianity than to teach us. Not kidding.

Our teachers are obsessed with the religion. I mean, they're like cult members. Being an atheist here will get you a useless detention. Although the handbook says religious freedom, they don't believe it. They give you bogus detention.

Wow, I type too much.:I

That is a product of the "free" education system. If students' parent had to buy the books and pay for them instead of the school furnishing them (paid with money from taxpayers most of who don't have kids in school, and if they do their kids aren't the social class that defaces the books) those parents would insist on their kids taking care of the books. Anything that is furnished free to the lower class gets trashed, be it school books or housing.

It's plain to see that you place your personal ideology over science, facts, and reality. I think that's called religion.
