Can anyone describe the charge of 'libel/slander' for me? I see a lot of people arrested for that charge, but really can't imagine who they heck they are slandering. Is this a catch all for use when they just want to arrest someone?

I don't know why they list it as they do, it should simply state "contempt of court" because typically that is all it is. Most often, yes drug court violation, dirty screen or can be any type violation of probation.

yeah i was a little confused with that part too. What does slander have to do with a positive drug screen?

I believe slander is a loose charge...a loose charge meaning you can many of them where as failed drug screen is more likely a strike system. It supports the concept of why drug court exists and that is to "try" and assist in cleaning lives up.....who knows
