there is nothing I enjoy more than smelling a Marlbro Red when I'm eating a delicicious meal, when I go to a eatery that doesn't allow smoking , I always take my black leather jacket that has soaked up all that delicious nicotine smell and place it on a chair at my table. The aroma of a lifetime of smoking is soaked into this jacket that I have worn since 1975 , the nicotine stains keep it looking new and the tobacco smell is with me when smoking isn't allowed at a restaurant. I'am all for smokers rights and my jacket has rights too.

Best cheeseburger I have had in years. I have had many high end cheeseburgers and this place is top of the line. Cheaper than the high end restaurants in Bowling Green and better tasting. Didn't have the fries but will try the fried pickles next time.

I'm not sure what's funnier about this statement "high end cheeseburger" or "high end restaurants in Bowling Green".

Oh I agree with you Artemis it is just plain to high and it needs a drive thru to or something I can't and won't let my kids stand out in the cold for me to order food and get it.

I like eating there so after I eat I can get me a big old dip of Skoal and spit all over the place. I like spitting my tobacco spit on top of the burning cigarette butts since most of the smokers are too freakin lazy to find an ashtray. I'm sure people eating there like to step in my tobacco spit just as much as they like the smell of a burning cigarette.

Nowhere to eat in Scottsville? Two fast food restaurants, two pizza joints, three sit down restaurants, subway, and smoke shack. And lets not forget, some folks still remember how to cook good food at home.
And I think you might be forgetting Harpers

yuk their food is gross. Just to think about the nastiness of that place gives me chills. It's outdated & horrible driveway. How they are still in business I don't know??

I drive a Big Truck for one of the national pharmacies located in or around Scottsville KY. I recently ran out of hours there and had to spend the night. My two choices for dinner were McD's and Sam's. One of the perks of my job is getting to try these road side eaterys so I opted for Sam's, you can get McD's anywhere. Man I love Sam's! I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The meat for the burgers is ground fresh daily and your order of fries starts out as a whole potatoe that gets cut when you order. The burger was big (1/3 lbs) and flavorful, the fries were crisp and had a wonderful potatoe taste. Sam is a very friendly personable man that genuinely cares about his product. The price? About the same as a 1/4 pounder value meal at McD's. BTW, I ran out of hours there again this week. Had a bacon cheeseburger and fried green tomatoes, freaking awesome! sam's is on the permenent list of places to eat on my roadside list!

My husband and i have been to Sam's several times and we have no complaints. if you have any with the food or anything if you will talk to sam he will fix it for you he is an honest person and trying to give all of us a good place to eat i don't think it is to high.just think your meal at apple bees was &20:00 but what about the gas to go over there and back, see people don't think before running thier mouths try it some times.

It costs 20 bucks at Sam's too....for 2 people. Gas to BG is ok. I can sit in air conditioned or heat at Applebees and watch the games. If I choose I can have a beer too at Applebees. Pretty lil waitresses too over at Applebees. The problem at Sam's...no taste!

By the way Sam, We did not see you in our neighborhood kissing baby's or shaking hands. That is a prerequisite for my vote!
