Smuckers starts you out at over $10.00 an hour. 12 hour nights and days. I think its 6am to 6pm, and 6pm to 6am. I might be wrong. Someone correct me if I am.
Actually they start you out at like 12.75 on nights I don't know about days though

Listening to everyone blindly talk about the union. It's humorous ad falsified facts, probably one of the reasons KY is broke and Allen County is a third world country. The union hasn't destroyed anything, yeah speaking of the auto industry. Look at GM they are thriving, the company walked that path to receive their handouts just like the big banks. Unions are primarily in the north, and I'm sure you haven't noticed all your broke red states are in the south. I agree keep the union out of Scottsville and let you Proud To Be Broke Republicans go serve your masters for little pay.

You know, Roam, if you don't like a topic then you don't have to click on it and comment. Just a little FYI, you can scroll past different topics and not comment.

I have been there 10 years. And let me tell you its not that bad. People make it what it is. The work is easy. health insurance has took a turn for the worst but so has most companys insurances since obama care. An no you cant choose your shift. But after you been there a little while you wont have a problem going to days if you have a clean track record.

Sealed Power / Dana at Franklin operated for about 30 years as a non union plant. They were always one of the most profitable plants in the division. They had competitve wages and excellent benefits. But then, after several failed attempts by the UAW to get in, the union finally succeeded. Then about three years ago, shortly after being bought by Mahle, they were coming up for contract negotiations and Mahle announced that they intended to cease operations in Franklin and move out. Now the plant has closed. The manufacturing operation is still going on, just not in Franklin, but somewhere else. So the employes had their union for a short while, but now their jobs are gone forever. What good is a union "Proud 2 B Broke", if you have no job?

It's all about timing. They have invested too much money in the Scottsville plant. So if we really want a union now is the time!! If u don't want a union then you don't have to join, but you will not get the union benefits!!!!!!

Try Danafilms and worldwide technologies in Franklin. They got azzhole managers that expect the employees to do 3 persons work for way less pay than Smuckers. You mightget some traction there.
