i tried some the other day that was made here locally, it was very good, i was told that its legal for a person to have a still and make your own whiskey for your personal use, you just couldnt sell it, does anyone know if thats true or not

That is NOT true. Distilling liquor for your use, sale or whatever is illegal. It is legal to make your own homemade wine or beer, but moonshine is illegal all the way around. Traffic charge or sale is a harsher charge than just distilling though. Those are just actors on tv my friend lol

I had always heard different, but after a little research, you are correct. It is illegal to make distilled liquor without a distillers license.
