Anyone who can give me directions to Amish place

I was told the Amish have a place off scottsville road where you can buy feed for farm animals and other items. Can anyone tell me how to find it. I would be coming on 100 from Franklin. Thank you

I don't know if these are the one's that sell feed, but most any of them can tell you who sells what. Coming from Franklin on Hwy. 100 there are some on Perrytown Rd. area. That's the Rd. Left just past Walkers Chapel United Methodist Church.

The feed mill is nt on Perrytown rd.It is on Shores rd.You do turn off 100 on to Perrytown Rd. Then take that rd till you come to Shores rd. Frist road on right.That is shores rd take Shores road you will come to a three way stop and go straight through the stop and the feed mill is the next drive on the left. Cant remember what time they open,but mon through fri the close a 5 and sat the close at 12.

I lived here for 20 years and take my son there every week or so to get feed for his calfs. They are cheaper than Southern States on feed and dog food.

Thats what I have been told, I look forward to going there. I am a senior on disability, trying to raise some poultry for eggs and meat. I was told their feed is 4 to 5 dollars cheaper than southern states. I appreciate all the info.

16.00 for 100 lbs of layer feed...warning though my chickens love it because of the corn mixture and eat til they are stuffed. crushed corn is also cheaper there than other feed stores.

Thought this might be of some help. Be careful of the feed you buy from the Minonites. I talked with a man this morning who is an expert in raising game cocks and hens. He told me his grandfather bought feed from them and he told him to pick him up a bag. He said; never again, the feed was filled with weevil's. He told me the weevil's ate the hearts out of especially the corn and this removed the protein and other nutrients from the feed. It will fill the chickens up but do them very little good. You might not be getting such a good deal after all. I learned a long time ago not to buy anything from them. They are not as honest as most people think.

REALLY! OMG Thank you for that info. I sure don't want unhealthy chickens or ducks. it defeats the whole purpose. I might just try the farm store in franklin, they are 50 cents cheaper a bag than southern states. By the way, I will watch out for jerry t also. LOL

For sure, ol' Jerry is more dangerous than the feed. LOL. That was a topic on here a few months back. Ol' Jerry told some other guy's that he had sex with chickens and they put it on topix. It was so funny. Jerry's wife and Sister in law really got bent out of shape over it. Jerry never even tried to defend himself. I guess he hated to lie about it. Ahahahaha.

Is that true Farter? about the feed? My chickens do eat more of it than the feed I usually get them. twice as much...maybe they don't like it so much as they aren't getting the nutrients they need...??? and wouldn't chickens like weevil's? aren't they bugs??? my girls likes their bugs

Jerry molesting chickens or weevils in the feed? If it's the feed, I would pick up a handful of feed, look at it carefully, judge for yourself. If it's Jerry, check your hens for missing feathers around their arse & dead hens.

I don't know what weevils are but Rae wouldn't "your girls" eat them if their bugs. That's protein right? I don't know I don't own a farm, but I have seen Bare Grills eat elephant poop so I think they will be okay.

All I know Rae, this man is a professional at raising game chickens, I mean big dollar chickens. He gives his own vaccinations and knows his stuff about chickens. He doesn't lie. He has studied chickens for years. All I know to tell you is to look at the feed and see for yourself. I really don't know if weevils are nutricious or not. LOL.
