And by plea bargain I don't mean a slap on the hand. Their pleas are like maybe cut your sentence in half. They don't let you walk so you can almost guarantee they are going away for a little while

For those that says money talks....not with BOP. Some well known people to serve with BOP:

-rapper TI
- Wesley Snipes
-Martha Stewart
-rapper Lil Kim
-football player Michael Vick
-then tons of mob bosses.

I am sorry but you can convince me that any of the convicted have more money than them and they still served....

You do not have parole in the federal system. The only thing they offer is 54 days per year of good time. So if you are convicted for 5 years and get in no trouble you do the entire 5 years minus 270 days for good time.
Since it is federal you are guaranteed to get a hefty conviction unless they take a plea bargin. They have minimum mandatory sentencing. So you are charged with this crime you automatically get this amount of time. With them it is 1+1=2 unless you get a decent plea deal.
Yes there is a federal parole. People from here have been on it before. Get your facts correct.

With all due respect I have to disagree with you. Take note of the case of the Sheriff and the deputies that beat the hell out of a drug addict in Barren County. They got off scott free because he was a drug addict. My opinion is that they were guilty as sin. No matter whether he was a drug addict or not they are sworn officers of the law and they had no right to beat the hell out of a hand cuff man, several of them.

The cops beating the crap out of a handcuffed druggie, and what they may or may not have deserved to get is irrelevent to the argument here --as I see it.

As I understand you you are saying -- they got no jail time for what they did.

Apparently, based on how I'm understanding what you wrote, they were not tried, then convicted, and then sentenced to do time in jail.

The fact that they got no time does not equal being paroled. You have to receive a jail sentence before you could be "paroled".

There has to be a jail sentence with specified amount of time to serve before a person can be paroled or pardoned from it.

Probation is the same thing and the federal system has it. Call it what you want its about the same. In KY its called probation and parole dept. Because its about the same. You jailhouse lawyers want everything to be stated correct when you are talking.

Find proof they have it. I can pull the inmate handbook and prove to you there is no "parole". If you don't get thrown into the hole or any other offenses will incarcerated you earn 54 days per year. In the state system you get good time which deducts time off your sentence even if you are denied parole. So please find your proof there is parole and I can knock it down every time.

I agree that one should of been federal...but why they pick and chose which actually are is beyond me.

About the time in jail....with the federal system unless it is a violent charge they don't go to jail until they have to report to prison. A lot of times it is a month or two after you plead or are found guilty (if it was me I would rather plead....more likely to get less time cause it pisses them off if you try to battle them in court) and you can do a voluntary surrender.

Are you kidding me? She got off Scott free? What a shame! She will do it again & keep on. I can't believe she didn't do time in jail for stealing. She must have had some brown licking the judge & prosecuter for her. She has no shame that's obvious. She holds her head high as if she won a Purple Heart. Makes me sick

In the federal system they do the bare minimum for them. Not saying I expect them to get better care in there as free people do but something similar. The person I know that was in the system got either bad or expired medicine and was lucky not to die from it
