Yes bad deal, you are right.........I bought an engine for my 2005 Dodge 1500, 4.7 liter and it was a bad engine, they wouldn't answer the phone after I let them know the engine was bad, I finally took my truck there and they clamied they put in another engine but I really think they just painted it and put thick oil in it because before I drove the 65 miles home after I picked it up from the Barn they work in, it was making the same noise..........that was a bought $3800.00 lesson.

I may wrong. But I understand that they buy the short block, rebuilt by someone else, they rebuild heads and install them on the rebuilt short block making it be considered a long block. They contract with other people to do the removal and the installation of the engine. If this is no true, please enlighten of their methods.

Update: Gave me a warped head had to get it replaced and some of the lifters.. But they made good on it when I brought it to them. I did start to get pissed when they wouldn't answer the phone, thought they were avoiding me, but they did make it right. I explained my problem as nice as I could even if I was angry. They are just people after all. Just remember you catch more flies with honey...

Sent short block down to be assembled 2 months ago and said they would call me in 3 days and let me know how much it would cost to do it and I havent heard from them since. I have left several messages on their shop voicemail and get no return call. I understand that people/shops get busy but I am in business too and if you cant take care of your customers than you should not be in business!

They installed a motor for me in an old van ... Very good price .. Ran good too .. And later got a miss .. Loss compression in one cylinder .. And found a washer got dropped down that intake port... I should have sent it back . So I replaced that head on my own ... And sold it ... Saw the van several times after that.. Still running strong.. Good engine
