NONE YA wrote: you are like the clock on the wall that never quits ticking you say stupid shit just so i will respond Did it take you five minutes to think of what to say cause i could care less about your family or bens family however you intertwine wether your his sister or his sister/girlfriend lol nah jk but really what the fuck does me being ignorant have to do with the law the laws main purpose is to scare people away from doing the illegal like giving people life in prison for killing babies or humans or smoking pot or possessing pot or anything like cooking meth up like amy did and just random things you know if you dont have much faith in the law it is not looking to good for ben maybe you should rethink ben HES not looking to innocent didnt you read the salina journal the salina journal is calling him guilty and i dont think that he will be doing to well in court either he doesnt have a very good defense even if it was not his responsibility to watch the kids he did for amy and if you are watching her kids that means you make sure that they do not become in any danger wether it is a burgler or a guy escapes from jail or what ever that may be it does not look good and you can come back at me with well hes innocent tell proven guilty but look at it not as a friend or family member look at it from joe blow down the street he was their and you can accuse amy of not taking the baby to the doctor but amy was not their when the baby was killed or died or whatever the case may be but another thing that is not looking good for amy or ben is the chemical burns on the legs and arms and the bruises on that child im not an enemy just someone that has seen what happend to stevie and just am trying to tell you that you need to look back at this in the way the judge or whoever is going to be taking care of this case and say damm hes going to be guilty be for he even sits down YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY IM NOT AS IGNORANT AS YOU THINK first off...the salina journal is NOT the law nor do they write the law ..nor was ANY reporter able to hear a darned thing at the preliminary, what they didn't report was ALL the testimony because they couldn't make out what anyone was saying, and furthermore NONE of them have paid for a word for word court transcript,WE HAVE! you'd be fascinated with the 500 pages of testimony , but hey like you say the truth will come out,,,though you do have some points valid, and probably if we weren't wasting precious energy (5 minutes every few days) you'd be surprised at who i realy am ..I do not hang with any of these people nor am i familiar with drugs meth? I am parent , a good one , thats my only connection with this whole mess, family,,,and of course if ben or amy lived on the dark side i was kept out of it because i would have done something if i knew anything beyond the fact that STEVIE AND DARIEN where absolutelly precious to me and the family,,,think about it if you will. IF you where doing something wrong would you tell someone like me ????I think notso....lets let the LAW handle this , so far from what i have been reading for days on end there is absolutelly no evidence,,,we can't speculate on hearsay can we???and innocent until proven guilty...of course the previous county attorney got a nice new house paid for by the SO-CALLED EXHAUSTIVE INVESTIGATION!!! funny I never saw much investigation going on at the time,,,and just recentlly finally they listened to what we have to say. though i have to admit this has been very enlightening, before this kind of thing happened to someone close to me I would have assumed along with the rest of you that he must have done something just from reading the newspaper , thats how trusting i was of our legal system, now i have to take a step back and examine everything i hear because it may not be correct

I am curious how the verdict will affect the price of weed in Beloit. Will the price rise? Will the price fall? Will the price stay the same? We are not talking about the cheesy mexican brick weed, but rather the skunk kaya sticky icky bud. Hopefully the supply will remain steady and prices reasonable. We need more wholesalers of good weed in Beloit, some place where you can get a quarter to half a pound of quality bud at a fair price.

Life simplified wrote: Good golly...I have to ask is none ya & none yas back the same person?? Of course, one is in Beloit the other in Fort Worth ... but your comment about "so get out of mitchell county please!!" made the request sound as though you live in Mitchell County. The hostility that none ya's (both people) have for Ben and Amie seems intense. To be perfectly clear up front so I don't have to rectify any remarks I make --- I'm not defending or accussing anyone of anything...I know little about this case / issue (only what I have read in the paper and what little bit posted on here). I can understand someone's hostility towards Ben and Amie if they are CLOSE to them and know all the details of Stevies death (assuming the worst but obviously not proven at this point)...I would think ONLY a directly linked person would be so angry at them (because someone like myself that knows nothing or very little about them wouldn't be so livid or have such animosity toward them). I respect an individuals view points and feelings -- I'm just trying to understand if the ill feelings have been a long term "hate" or if this is a result of Stevie's death. And I also wonder what the comment meant when "none ya" stated: "ok so if he was the only one their except for the people up stairs who did it so really whats his defense that he did not do it" ?? Are you stating he was on the main floor while "somebody" was upstairs with Stevie? If so, how would you know that...where you there? And if you were than have you stepped forward and given your factual information to the proper authorities? I'm NOT questioning you as if you don't know what you are talking about...it's just clarification of what is fact from hearsay. you won't get any FACTS from gossips in beloit...though there are many many good people there ...the ones trashing our family are not holders of accurate facts....the fact is he was found NOT guilty of murder and not guilty of child abuse...and last week an acquital motion was filed because the courts did not prove involuntary manslaughter either,,,Ben was not in the commision of a crime at that moment he was feeding darien 2 steps away...you know i have read your comments and appreciate your openminded reasoning...i also appreciate the jury weeding through all the hearsay and trying to base their decision on FACT ....and further information it was PROVEN in court that stevie did indeed have food in her stomach...i sure wish lawenforcement would listen to the FACTS when dealing with a traumatized family mourning the loss of a loved one...this case has caused undue greif for ALL of us...we are strong and always will remain a strong family as God walks with us all...our prayers are gradually being answered

Okay...I want to go out on a limb here.
I was NOT in the court room and obviously the paper couldn't report every detail or word of testimony from the trail.
The debate still comes up about abuse and the trauma to Stevie. The fact the jury found him not guilty of abuse leads me to question what happened earlier in the day??
Is it possible Stevie was injuried while in the care of someone else? A fall from a bed or off a couch isn't going to cause trauma that could later lead to death, could it?
I still stand firmly that I'm not judging Ben or Amie...I'm just wondering what was going on in Stevie's life that lead to her death.
IF abuse was going on in the home...I don't question Ben's family as much as I question Amie's family --- WHY didn't they step in and do something? The longevity of Amie's family in her children's lives was more prominent then a man's family she was dating...I would think my family would step in if I was mistreating my child / children --- they would be especially quick to intervene if it was my significant other mistreating them.
I am not well educated in the medical field [a doctor or nurse] so I don't know if it's possible a small hemorrhage from the eye [example used] could result in the death of a child. So, is a neck injury and a hemorrhage from a seperate injury the point you are trying to make OR are you saying trauma to the neck would have caused a hemorrhage in other areas of her body like in the eyes for example?
Did they say what the exact cause of death was?[Sorry if they mentioned it before and I overlooked it.] There is always a reason people pass away...cardiac arrest, drowning..etc - something goes on the death certificate doesn't it?
One last question, there was food in her stomach -- how long does it take to digest food...for the stomach to empty?

One last question, there was food in her stomach -- how long does it take to digest food...for the stomach to empty? i'm not sure and can't speak for other family members but those of us who spent time around Stevie at the time shortlly before her passing did nt see amie's family involved in any way with the kids,,,i personally had never met amie's mom until after stevie's passing,,,at that time amie's mom was under the care of pawnee mental health i don't know why and that would be none of my business,,,two days before stevie's passing me and my kids took care of stevie and darien overnight, Stevie was NOT herself and her rashes seemed to be infected(though i'm not a doctor)Stevie also threw up a few times and seemed blue in complexion and chilled...amie told us she took Stevie to the doctor for the rashes and that she was reacting to the medicine...we found out after stevie passed that amie didn't take her to the doctor...we also found stevie's vaccination card , which reflected that she was Very overdue ...none of us had a clue before or we would have definitelly intervened...Ben tried unsuccessfully to revive Stevie ,he has no medical training though but he says that food and foamy liquid came up during the first moments of his attempt to revive her...a few of us had experience mysterious rashes during the summer of 2008 including Ben himself who contracted blood poisoning withing three days of stevie's passing,,,Ben went to the doctor of course and we have the record on that,,,we also have a medical record on another family member dated a week before stevie's passing,,,diagnosis possible poison ivy, though there is still a scar on his leg which looks like a burn scar but yet a doctor in mitchell county said possible poison ivy...the death certificate says "undetermined"
