Thanks to Scott Memorial I was indeed pregnant after swore a miscarriage and was told taking my other medicines would be fine. Months later I 'delivered' a partially developed fetus.

I'd rather take my chances driving the extra 30 minutes to somewhere reasonable than go to our hospital.

In 2006 while pregnant with my daughter, my ex was seen in the emergency room. On the left side of us, there was a young lady there too who was also pregnant. and there for another problem. On the right side, someone came in. After questioning about the device used on the person, I found out that it was a portable xray machine AND NO ONE TOLD US TO REMOVE MYSELF OR THE OTHER MOM OUT OF THE ROOM! I voiced my complaint and within 10 minutes, the head director of the hospital was apologizing left and right. I am glad I don't live in Scott County anymore and one good reason is that I do not have to rely on Scott County Memorial Hospital.

Yes. Some good people work there. But I prefer to take my business elsewhere. EVERYTIME our family has used their emergency room our care has been messed up.

There are not very many qualified people who work at the Scottsburg hospital, they may have a degree but like any job that doesn't mean a whole lot. Bad care in every department, theres not one department that does a good job there. They bilk the the welfare and medicare systems and give crappy care, most people who go there don't have transportation to go anywhere else, no one in their right mind would go there by choice. Even the people that work there go other places for their medical care, if the hospital is so good why do the workers have their operations and their babies at other hospitals, because Scottsburg has the worst hospital in Indiana.

Ok so some people do use it as a doctors office and some do mis use it. You can have some medical knowledge with out being a doctor. The problem is Gross Negligence and physicians that don't really know what they are doing nor have the experience to handle a Real emergency.
Since you point out that 1 in 4 people who use the Er are drugg seekers says you work for scott memorial. Thus your point of view on this thread would not be very impartial what so ever. but rather biased in favor of Scott memorial. Otherwise how would you know just which patients were drug seekers and which ones weren't?
Nope just know nurses that work in the ER.

Babies of employees are delivered other places because it is probably uncomfortable for someone you know staring at your vagina!

It happens to be Scottsburg which is the worst educated town by far in the whole state of Indiana. Look at Scott County District 1 and Scott County District 2 schools for more reference. When your schools consistently rank in the bottom 25 percent according to Indiana Department of Education rankings, it says a lot about the community. Scottsburg might as well be in the state of Kentucky because half the people from Scottsburg act like Kentuckians. Oh wait, that's because most of them are transplanted Kentuckians.
