I live at the Lovelady Center and would like to tell everyone what a wonderful place it is. Lovelady is the Lord's house. When I first walked in the door, I felt more love and comfort than ever before in my 33 years. I love where I leave, it is awesome. I love the Lord Jesus and finally feel free. All the children love our home, please do not judge something you dont understand or know about.
Many in my church have helped there and I have met some of the residents . I entirely believe that good things happen there . Accept Jesus , you'll find your stay there much less problematic.

I would like to start by saying The Lovelady center is an awesome place!! It truly saved my life and the life of my son. It is not money hungry at all!! These people saying bad things about the center are either are the ones that are not ready to change and let God into their life or parents that were miss led by their children. a big part of recovery is rebuilding relationship with your children and family, so it is great that children are allowed to be in this center.
If you have any negative thoughts about this center you should come visit it yourself. As soon as you walk in the door you will fill the love and the presence of the Lord. I love every one and every thing about The Lovelady center. Thanks and have a Blessed Day!!

Look, I know that there are some crazy things that does go on in there between the women. But I also know that that's the way it's going to be when you get almost 300 women together. I was there for 7 months. It's according to the way you want to take it while your there. Melinda is a good lady, and she will help if people will let her. I messed up so many times in there, but it was because of myself. I wasn't ready to give everything up at that time. When you go in there you have to be fed up, and really be ready to accept. Melinda, I know will help if she sees that someone needs it. The Lovelady Center did plant that seed back in me though. I was a backslider, and now I've done started following my calling for singing, again.

I have just gotten out of the lovelady center on july the 3rd,i know that everyone has an their right to say what they want about the lovelady center,i went there because i was in julia tutwiler prison for women,i realize that everyone has the right to say what they think about the lovelady center,i was sent there because i had no relatives that i could go home to,i had a boyfriend but i was not allowed to go home to him till the end of my sentence,i would rather be at the lovelady center instead of tutwiler prison, they took care of me at the lovelady center until i was released,i had to go by rules there but i stayed off the drugs because that was one of the rules and i did not want to go back to tutwiler,i had a choice to make,i chose to stay off the drugs,i was drug tested while i was there but i can understand why,i needed to be there and i did my time,i appreciate what mrs.brenda did for me while i was there.i am so thankful that i was allowed to stay there till i was released,i want to thank everyone on the staff at the lovelady center for all their help.i ask the lord to make a way for me to leave tutwiler prison and i was sent to the lovelady center, the lord anwsered my prayer,i had counseling and my needs met while i was there,i just want to say that i was blessed to have been sent there till i could return home.thank you mrs.brenda for allowing me to stay there and for all you did for me.joyce f.

i am currently living at the center with two of my four childern, and i belive GOD is in this place, the directiers are NOT money hungrey, but you must also understand that it TAKES money to run a facility this size, i honestly have seen this place help many women and it has brought me closer to God, they have love and compassion for everyone whom steps into these doors and will continue to do so, even if you have a few mishaps (goodness knows im not perfect), EVEN if you dont kiss a**, as i surly dont, ive butted heads with them a few times, and they still love me and allow me to stay here, it all about if your willing to change and move on with your life or not, i also invite everyone to come here and see for themselfs what a wounderful place this is, and as far as the childern are concered, mine personally LOVE it here because theier is so much love and understanding shown to one anouther. PLEASE stop hating on things you know nothing about!!!!!

I actually stumbled upon this conversation because I was looking to volunteersomewhere and this would be my first choice. Lovelady saved my sisters life. My sister had lived a life of drugs and alcohol for more than 20 years, been in rehabs and was not successful, in and out of jail... it was terrible and heartbreaking. She found Lovelady after going to jail and they allowed her to bring her three month old baby. This allowed her the opportunity to bond with him at a very crucial time. Children need this and so do moms. My dear sister has been clean and sober for 20 months now. She hasn't been clean anywhere near this long since she was 16 yrs. old. She is now living a wonderful life, she is a wonder mom and the sister and daughter we always knew she could be. I am so proud of her I am moved to tears each and every time I think of all she has accomplished. The difference in Lovelady and other rehabs she had been to is that at Lovelady she was treated with respect, love and allowed to make mistakes and learn and grow from them. She was allowed to have face wash and be trusted that she would not drink it. She was treated as an adult. I believe that people must be ready to make this change in their life. Lovelady is not a place where they monitor every move you make so if that is what you are looking for, move on. Please don't ever give up on your loved one because my sister is proof that people do get better. I never thought I would have the honor of saying this but sure am glad I do! If someone would have told me two years ago that my sister would be the person she is today I would have never believed it. Also, I never would have thought that I would never worry about her going back to that life but I don't. I look at her and all she is and I just know deep down in my heart that she will never go back to that life. Thank you Lovelady... you saved my sisters life and my family!

Had 3 JLB friends who volunteered for TLC - the League stopped supporting this cause because several of their volunteers were threatened with violence by residents. One volunteer was robbed. Doesn't sound like a loving place to me - or to the JLB.

As with ANY program of this sort there will be bad apples. You have to take the bad with all the good that comes from something like this. JLB should know that addicts come from ALL walks of life.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Leo

The atmosphere is highly combustible today, with people getting in a stew over the smallest little thing. You will also have a tendency to get hot under the collar, especially if someone isn't doing things as quickly as you'd like. Try to stop yourself getting in a rage because once that happens it will be difficult to cool down again. Maybe you need some fresh air?
