Swine Flu in Scottsboro

I hear all sorts of rumors about swine flu in this area and I never see anything on the news about it. It seems like it is time to get the word out on a possible epidemic.

A lot of it is not rumor. My child tested positive for Flu Friday and the healthcare system here is operating under the assumption that all cases are Swine Flu at this point.

a scottsboro teacher who knew the deceased boy has told a reliable source that the boy DID NOT HAVE ANY UNDERLYING MEIDICAL CONDITION(S) and the boy died quickly from the onset of the flu noticed by the parents who diligently took the boy to the doctor. wake up people! we are not receiving the news due to panic. I believe that this particular child may have contracted the "mutated" version. Also at the Oxford Hospital a patient died of the swine flu approx 2 wks ago. they cleared the floor and removed the body wearing hazmet suits. this was told by a nurse there who is very uncomfortable of who she speaks to. I will post again when other infor is sent to me. God Bless and protect us all.

Why did the news report it?

The swine flu isn't necessarily what causes death. It's things like dehydration and pneumonia that are SECONDARY to the swine flu that causes death.
The media frenzy may very well cause a panic in the months to come because we are not yet at the peak of the flu season. It will get worse.

To: "Just Heard".... I have been trying to find someone that knows the details of the Scottsboro boy's death. I have heard that the boy had shown signs of pink eye for several months prior to his death, but doctors said he did not have pink eye, so was this the only early sign they had for H1N1. I don't know if this is a true statement so I am searching for someone that can tell me. I am asking because my Grandson's eyes look that way, it is a very light pink. They have looked this way for a while and I don't know if I should or should not be concerned.
