septic system in saltillo tn.

i think there should be a city septic system installed in saltillo tn. and would like to know if there is any chance that this could happen soon, the price of putting in septic on my property would be min. of 12,000 and thats just crazy, thats more than we paid for the land. anyone know who to cantact regarding city sewer system in town or how to get gov. grant for this?

Now you know why you paid a ridiculously low price for the land. Everyone else knew of its problem and now you do to. The unscrupulous seller should have told you that the land would not "perc" and that you could not put a system in except to pay a ridiculous price. Normal prices to put in a system should run $1000-2000. Yours is a rare situation but common to several land locked pieces of property in Saltillo. The former mayor (king david) would have been a good source of information, but you would have had to top the price put in his pocket by the people who wanted him to remain silent. Small town politics.... gotta love it.

Try looking around for another piece of land that joins up to yours that WILL perc. Land is a good investment PROVIDED you don't pay the ridiculous high prices people are asking around this area.
