They are trimming work force. Wow. It's bad enough. Care is awful in the hospitals. I head to Indiana hospital where EVERYTHING is 100% better. Unfortunately I love my family doc who is affiliated with excela but when it comes to my specialists I head to Indiana!!!!

I totally agree. I had a THR in March and had HORRIBAL care on the 4 th floor. They kept saying, sorry we are short staffed. Well I think having my visitors help me to the restroom was a bit emabarrassing to ask. And I had to have them get me ice water. I would lay in bed praying for someone to come visit so I could get some water. I wrote them a letter and they never even bothered to return to me to say they were sorry. I hope I never have to go into Greensburg Exla to be admitted ever again. This was actually the second bad experiance I had there in a year.

Go to UPMC East. WONDERFUL nurses and doctors. I will never step foot in another Excela especially greensburg again.

I don't understand why they don't get rid of the secretaries and put more staff on the floors. they seem to have nothing to do while the aides/nurses are running around in a tizzy.
