The crime in this lil town is starting to get ridiculous! I know times are hard, but they are hard for everyone. Stealing will eventually hurt you as much as the person you stole from, if not more. There was a bar-b-que pit stolen from the back of the old Frank's bar on main street, any one with any info please e-mail me at gypsie_magiks@yahoo.com or contact the Church Point Police Department. We are offering a reward for the return of our property.

C.P. is not the worst on crime in a small town. Read the D.W., Lafayette paper, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, Alexadria, Monroe, Shreveport, New Orleans. They all print news about small townships and burgs. We in C.P. rank of the least of crimes that are happening around our state.

I am sorry about the stolen bar b que pit. Whenever a premisis is not being occupied, then theft will definitely occur. mkds.

I didn't mean that Church Point is the worst, I know better than that. I just meant that it is getting worse than it has been in the past. As for as the premisis not being occupied, I guess it was foolish of us to leave it there even though we are there on a daily basis. I just find it hard to believe that noone saw anything or anyone because it was stolen before sunset. So again, if anyone has any info please let me know. We are just trying to make a living the best way that we can, just like the next person. We don't have alot like few people, but what we do have is ours and we would like to keep it that way. Thanks for the comments.

I live right around there and we saw or heard nothing. For a while no one wouldgo around there and then now there are cars,etc... there. Maybe cause there are people going there now that the people that live around here didn't think anything. We did the other night see a cop car over there so I assume this was after it was stolen. But I will keep an eye out around there. The only vechile that I normally see is the white van.

I live close to down town, and for many years we have tried very hard to keep our yard clean and pretty. no matter how much we plant, and in what we plant, or who gives us a plant it is always stolen. We can not keep pot plants in the front yard/carporch any more, but that is ok.
We have had things taken off the carporch while we were home, but mostly at night. tools were taken. windows were broken, gas cans were stolen etc. We have quit planting so much, and keep the plants in the house. We still keep the yard clean, but no plants. No more lest to be stolen.
ps..
some of the plants taken off the porch were from our mom and dad's funeral's. that is ok, we did not see you take them, but we know someone did,(GOD) saw whoever stole and he will judge sooner or later.. all we ask is please take care of them. they reminded us of our parents evertime we walked outside.
if you have any problems with the plants bring them back, no questions will be asked. they all have names. names are Elise, Ann, Marie, Celeste,
Zan, Me Me, Arthur, Paul, and Cleve.
JUST TAKE CARE OF THEM for us
i have a pretty green thumb..

I didn't realize you lived near by, email me at gypsie_magikS@YAHOO.COM love ya hun. as for 'sick of this', we all are sick of being screwed over and know we live in a shitty society but it is not just church point it is everywhere. I am trying to live an honest life and make an honest living and just like i would look out for others i would hope they would look out for me. If we stick together we might actually make it through these hard times that THE WHOLE WORLD is going through. Again, any info would be appreciated and the location of our property will be rewarded>

You are so right, gypsie. It's gonna get worse before it even thinks of getting better. Like you said, lets just watch each other's back for a change.

My sister had her purse stolen out of her car on St. Jude. She had all her checks and her social security card in there so now she has to go through the process of canceling everything and getting a new number.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Scorpio

Your thoughts turn to the past today, putting you in a nostalgic mood. You're awash with sentimental tears as you dwell on days gone by or gaze at photos of people you'll never see again. However, try not to let this mood of reminiscence turn into a tendency to feel sorry for yourself and therefore to demand special treatment from others.
