I think someone needs to step up and help the boys team. Anyone have any suggestions how to turn this team around?

Yea, get a real coach who teaches not only plays but the basics of the game. I would love the opportunity to change the team around. I have already turned one team around, they hadn't won a game in 2 years, I coached them for a week before their first game with me coaching and they won!

The talent isn't there for Scott City right now...in football or basketball....Do you really think that either coach doesn't know the basics? Really? I have argued this before...Show me a Beck, Workman, Spoon, Underwood, or Klund in that school right now. Not even close....coaching isn't near as much about the X's and O's as it is the Billy's and Joe's.

There is not one kid on the team that wouldve even stepped on the court when Scott City had sucessful teams, everyone is always quick to point fingers at the coaches. I think that's the coward way out! And btw if coaching is so dang easy to do and all of y'all have all the answers I would suggest that you put all of your good knowledge to good use and go to college and get a coaching degree!

They may not but if Dannenmueller was so great why can't he even pass on something to improve this team. A good coach would be able to pull this team together instead of allowing them to bicker all the time. It looks like he does not even have control of them and one of the players is calling the shots. Dannenmueller does not make them work as a teaam. You can have kids who are less talented but if they work as a team they can be successful. He said if you are a good offensive player you don't have to play good defense. Thats a first I have ever heard that. Most coaches want players to do both but then again he never did.

Dude listen I am a player for sc rams basket ball we honestley try but we have no talent. It's like me asking you why your not a billionaire? yeah, you have the potential to be but it's prolly not gonna happen! So before you bash the coachs! think, about that... I mean even if your an excellent cook what your cooking is not gonna turn out anygood if the ingrediants are rotten!

Beck was the best guard ever to wear a rams jersey. Cauble was for sure the post player by far for the rams. I don't agree with sisk over Dannenmueller on the first team. As far as that goes weatherspoon should be forward and Cauble center. Spoon was soft and nobody dominated the middle like Cauble. Don't forget about the best passer ever Lowery.

I played for Ron Cookson in the 80's at Scott County and I can assure you, coaching IS the problem. I've watched SC play and they do have talent. They just need a good coach to channel it.

Saying Spoon was soft is a Joke! Maybe try to get someone from that generation back, McCord, Kish, or Stein to come back to coach? I think the people in common on your list above, other than Klund, is the coaches...

The best way to improve the team isn't to let clueless retards discuss it on topix.

sc doesnt have much talent or kids that give a shit. Cotner is their best player...now compare him to Jon Beck, Dustin Cauble, Chris Sisk, Jeremy Mabrey, Mike Workman, Tyler Ward, Ryan Weatherspoon, Tyler Ward....you see where this is going?

Ok listen here I know what I'm talkin about when it comes to basketball and I'm not from Scott city I am a coach that has been to some sc games this year to scout the Dannenmueller guy is gonna do great things for Scott city, I love the way he coaches and I am not running any of the sc players down when I say there isn't one of there players that would start on my team and with that being said I think he has done a heck of a job this year. They have already won 4 more games this year than last year and I'm gonna hate playing them this year with them only losing one starter to graduation this year. Hang in there coach D everyone of us coaches has to deal with the stupid people behind the bench running there mouth the entire time and stupid cowards running there chicken**it mouth on this coward website. The funny thing is I doubt one of them put in there application for the coaching job last spring, you would think they would since they think they can do a better job.
