I am an EMT and co-worker of the little boys father. I am deeply saddened by this horrible accident. Having a 4 year old son myself I can imagine the pain and anguish his father must be suffering. My prayers go out to him and his family.

HOW DARE YOU - Pitbull - blame the parent! No parent allows their child to drown. You are obviously not a parent. Accidents happen and anyone with children know that. This happened in a matter of a seconds! This was a horrible accident and unfortunately this family will have to live without their child/brother forever.
I was a lifeguard for a swim club in Breezy Point and during a guard change the lifeguard does not leave their post until the replacement lifeguard is there!
I am best friends with the mother for 28 years and she is a WONDERFUL mother to her children. She does everything for them and is devistated that this has happened. She and her children are in enough pain without idiots like you passing judgment on her.

I am so sorry for the family. As a parent I grieved with you. I went to my swim club in Fanwood each day since very cautiously, more cautiously after your loss. I am a mother of four. Your tragedy has opened my eyes to realize that this could happen to anyone . It made me more aware of my children"s safety and reminded me to help keep an eye on "all of our children" at the pool. We should, as parents feel as though each child at the pool is our responsibility as adult parents who choose a community pool to spend our time. Your tragedy has allowed me to say a quiet prayer of thanks each day since as I left with all of my four children safely.
