Yeah it's unfortunate, lots of programs are being cut. Perhaps if the college offered coursework on how to prevent exploitation of children, we could sign the sheriff up for it, or that North Adams cop who was recently fired for the incident in the evidence room.

All kidding aside, if there's a chance these tuition programs can help these officers reduce crime in our neighborhood, then let's do what we can to keep the money flowing. That would include review of class descriptions to make sure they are appropriately being spent. I don't really care to pay for classes that don't have anything to do with local police work.

While they're at it, lets stop paying police overtime for watching construction workers, hire a good looking blonde girl like all the other states do. Use the money saved to pay for police tuition. We could have the only police force where every officer has a PHD.
