Am I entitled to a rest period, and do I get paid for this time?
You are entitled to a rest period of at least ten (10) minutes during each four hours you work. The rest period is a paid break.

Am I entitled to a meal period, and do I get paid for this time?
You are entitled to a reasonable period for a meal no sooner than the third nor later than the fifth hour of your work shift unless you and your employer have mutually agreed to some other arrangement. A duty-free meal period does not have to be paid.

We took my sister & brother-in-law out last Saturday night to Texas Roadhouse in Somerset. I won't complain about the 2 hour wait, because we were forwarned about it. However, the rest of the evening was disaster. I ordered sirloin med rare & it was more than extra well done so I did send it back. By the time the new steak arrived I was over being hungry. My sister ordered sirloin medium well & it was well dine but she kept it. The guys both ordered prime rib. One was supposed to be medium & was well done. The other was supposed to be medium rare but was so rare you could have brought it back to life with CPR. Both were so tough they could hardly chew them. The waiter sneezed on one if our plates. We had to ask for butter, refills & a to go box several times. Walkways were way too tight & uncomfortable. No offer to remove bad food from check or to discount it. The bill was way too expensive for the food, service and atmosphere we received. All in all, a bad experience. The ones in Lexington are great. We will never go back to the Somerset store.
