I think it's ok to hang on to history but I think these small communities use it as a lifeline. I wonder what these small towns will be like in 100 years.

LOL... I think the ones who have no future are the losers who post in here.
Let's set something straight. The history people are NOT town officials. They are not elected. They are not here representing you.
Instead, they are private people who are volunteers engaging in a HOBBY which they happen to enjoy.
I think all of you who posted here are friggin idiots.
You obviously don't understand the difference.
