I can say that while it's not as bad as some people say it is the level of respect for employees and donors by the management it terrible. Not everyone cares about the charity they are calling for and in reality they don't have too because it is just a job. While I agree that it is good for some it isn't great for most. Glad to be gone myself. I heard they called NJ/NY this past week. Not even a hurricane and it's devestation can stop the greed. I know there are contracts to fill but decency and compassion should come first.
THATS THE PROBLEM ITS THE GREED THAT IS GETTING TO PEOPLE, I beat they didn't even stop for a min to pray for the people that lost everything in the hurricane?

Well reading all these comments are making me think twice about starting this job Sunday. I was told in interview my schedule will be sun-thurs but i get it yesterday and its sun-fri....6 days a week can burn a person out so when i asked what there turn over rate was they lady replied thats not for public information...ok never heard that before and i am now an employee, part of the team. So what kinda shyt is that? If your housing 800 employees why must u make them work 6 days a week with only 1 day to enjoy themselves or in my case I need the extra day for school....Im going to try orientation on Sunday and if they dont let me get Friday off....Peace out I am a skilled worker who is new in columbus, I can find another job easy!!!!
I never got a day off, i worked sunday thur sunday no time with my son and pulling a moring and night time shift, i got off at 2pm and had to be at work at 5pm tell 9pm, I could even go to my son school music because i was working, they don't care if u have lives, ur life belong to them when u step in the door of that place? When my dad's mom passed away on my birthday, they didn't care i was having a hard time dealing with it, i had to do my job.

It's not as bad as you make it sound! You get breaks about every 2 - 2 1/2 hrs. Unless you have bladder control problems it isn't a issue if you use your breaks appropriately. If you do have issues that require more frequent breaks, there are things you can do. I know of a person who took 2 unscheduled bathroom breaks on his second day & was late returning from 2 out of 3 scheduled breaks. This is not acceptable at any business!
Im sorry but when ur doctor put u on water pills that makes u go alot what u going to do pee right there way ur on the phone call, or how about when u have to self cath ur self ever 6hour, so u don't end up with infection in ur bladder and end up in the hospital, ur business don't give a crap about those people so don't act like you guys care

I hope don't take these negative comments too seriously! The people who are responding are angry because it isn't a perfect job! There's no such thing as a perfect job! That's why they call it a job! Many of the problems these posters are talking about are because they act like grade-schoolers, but expect to be treated like adults! I think you may find that finding a job isn't easy.
don't lie to the person about the job, i have been told by lot of people that still work there its not clean, everyone is caming to work sick, because u don't want them stay home and get over it, is that how u run a business, i know lot of bussiness don't let there people came to work when they are sick that if full of infection, like staff infection?
if you still want to go to work for them, u will be working a moring 8am to 2pm came back at 4pm tell 9pm sun thru sun, OH ONE OTHER THING WONT HAVE TIME TO DO ANY FAMLY TIME OR VACTION TIME,

I have to agree with everybody and their views on here with the exception of the ones that are obviously Management trying to make themselves look better like this Joni B for instance from Phhillpsburg. That place is a joke and they treat their employees so bad because it is the best paying job some of the people their can get. Yes have of the so-called supervisors look like crackheads (smell like it to) and the other half are just plain rude. Good luck to anyone who works there. My heart goes out to you.

Any place of business requires a Doctor's note for these situations. That's how a job works, you show up when you're supposed to or you get fired! You say that nobody give a f about & you're wrong! I care about every single Charity we call on behalf of. You need to grow up, clean up your grammar & spelling & take a reality check!
So since it is so obvious that you must be management quit your posting because its a joke!!!!

I don't think Joni B is management but a trainer. I think I remember her but I'm not for sure.

I don't even know where to begin with this place.
The first thing i would like to point out is that they will trick you into working Fridays right off the bat. In my interview they asked if I would mind working "a few extra hours, occasionally." After they had scheduled me for Sundays-Thursdays. That "occasionally" actually meant every single Friday.
They will also tell you in the interview process that after working there for 60 days your schedule can than be changed or modified. This is incorrect. if you attempt to switch your Sunday with another day, or just not work Sundays at all, they will inform you "Corporate does not allow anyone to take Sundays off if they are currently working that day." This would be fine if they didn't lie about it in the interview process.
They also demand a doctors note for anything from a sniffly nose to the flu. Understandably they want to know if their employee is actually sick or not, but we cannot all afford the doctor for every little thing. They also want the note that day. No exceptions.
On to the management...
...or should i day the lack of. The different groups within apogee (The Callers, The Sups, The Managers.) Have ZERO interaction, & information you may tell one manager will never get to another because of the obvious lack of communication. Basically when you tell someone something, its likes whispering to the wind.
They actually attempted to fire me three separate times before succeeding (Like people have commented, they will attempt any ridiculous reason to fire you if they don't like you.) I absolutely stood my ground the first two times, calling them out for being bad employers and not handling situations properly as they should. And loe-n-behold they let me keep my job because i wouldn't let them push me around with their bull.(I must have been correct, why else let me keep my job?) this final time i just gave up though, the $10 an hour just couldn't keep me there anymore.
And everything else stated here is true. A horrid owner (Little man with a cane) and his family in the upper positions never doing anything while the callers are away on the floor now getting calls that barely have a second between them.(want to take a breath between calls? To bad!) and Sups that don't have to do anything but chat with each-other & nag at the agents for minuscule things.
Anyone on here saying good things is either the Owner, His family, or possibly one of the more ridiculous supervisors.
We all cant be wrong. No one should he telling us that its a job, and we should accept it however it is. This is America, and here, things change when a lot of people agree. When we agree it is not proper working conditions, than its not.
The only people that seem content there are the 40-60 year olds that want to sit on their fat asses all day. Of course they like it there.

Apogee simply needs new managers who care about people first. All they care about is the bottom line which is the America thinks. Not saying making money is bad just saying doing it at the expense of your employees is wrong and unethical.

I agree with many comments on here! Though I had a good supervisor the job sucked! Getting cursed, hung up on & donors pointing out that the FCC law was being broken. Never made many friends tried staying out of the drama. If you talked before or after your shift you heard someone yelling " no talking "! You had to have permission to go to the restroom which was nasty in them. They never cleaned the desk so people stayed sick! The one lady at the front was rude if you needed something she acted like you were bothering her.

I quit Apogee about a month ago and I am glad that I am not there anymore. From what I have now heard is that you can now only use the restrooms only if its an emergency. Apogee is just getting more pathetic. I really can't beleive people still want to work for Apogee I will never go back there. You also can't go to philly dogs in between your shift if you run out of water you can only do that on your breaks
That's exactly right you have to raise your hand to use restroom like back in grade school

well there are good things and there are bad things in every company. since I have been working there they have made tons of changes. some made good improvement and some made worse in some areas. But things there a lot of little changes to and they don't always tell the csr right away and when they get qa it falls back on them because no one has informed them. but they has been slowly been putting people on teams now and are required to have team meetings and one on one reviews with a csr and team leader once a month. and each team leader is required to keep very one up to date. the rules are getting more stricked in some areas do to low qas

well now they are allowing people go the restrooms with out having to ask your team leader first. and for the break room the only time you cant go in there is when your NOT ON BREAK. when you are on break you can stay there throw where who break
