Hmmm, keep that dog away from my paver!:-)

I was there that day. That dog was well behaved and did no bad habits to any of the pavers!

Is that a Nuclear Bomb with brown ears?

left me wondering why there has to be 'advertising' all over the site...esp, credit union,yucky...some peoples level of taste leaves a lot to be desired, and I may be in a minority here but am still convinced the granite monument looks like it was hijacked out of a cemetary...my opinion

Fair enough, but the economy crash did not help when we were planning this project. The committee worked on and off for almost 10 years on this. It cost a lot of money, and a consideral amount of hours. A number of volunteers helped, and putting in a memorial park (pavers) allowed us to meet the costs. I'm glad to have the chance to memorialize my aunt and uncle, and several other folks feel the same way. I think we did what we could with what we had, and I'm very happy with the result. Bill Dolback was tireless in his efforts to make all this happen..-Max |

my vist:
There are probably are war cemetaries near it, e.g., French & Indian War remains of 1758, 1759, and Rev. War 1777 battles near the Lower Falls and Mt. Hope by Rogers` Rangers (2) and Brown, resp. Revolutionary War remains were found at the Lower Falls in 1928 and 1936, re-interred at Ft. Ti, not to count the 3 Iroquois chiefs et alii killed by Champlain. Other unfortunate countless others were caught near the falls by marauding Native American warriors and scalped from 1750`s til 1814. |

cemeteries sorry

Just can't believe what I have read from your post "my visit". I, for one, did not contribute any man hours or money, so I really do not have the right to criticize the efforts (volunteer) and advertising (or whatever) this poster is offended by. I thank those who worked so hard and great to memoralize our loved ones. Thank you all involved. Volunteers, your dedication to this community is very much appreciated and I thank you. |
sorry but I will stick to my opinion, this 'monument' is on public property and the volunteers could have spent their time combing down blades of grass for all I care, no amount of money, sweat and tears changes they chose to spend changes the way I see it, sorry...and by the way the volunteers may want to secure the flagpoles a bit better, they seem a little crooked...

1 Aye- we should tie you to the mast of a bateaux and send you down the creek for a`drubbin` by the seagulls and runnin` the gauntlet of the Creekers`-40 lashes with Champlain`s helmet feather for such condescending trash about hard-workin Ticonderogians-- Aye |
Go down to the site and secure the flagpoles a bit better, I'm certain the folks that volunteered their time wouldn't object. People like you have a problem not an opinion. |

Haven't had a chance to get down to the park, just wondering "my visit" if you have had the opportunity to go down and secure the flagpoles?
Please, Max, let us know how much it costs for a paver. I went down this afternoon and you folks have done a wonderful job. It is spectacular. What is all the digging and dirt that has been brought in, is it fill? That memorial is wonderful, thanks for to all you folks who have worked on it. |
Hmmm, check post #14 for prices, a great deal of the cost is from the stone company. We are adding things all the time, as expenses permit..-Max |

Max, post #14 has been deleted. Post prices again, please. Thanks. I saw your uncle and aunt's stone, my schoolteacher, lovely lady.
