Good. Shut them ALL down. Thrill seekers will just have to find some other dangerous activity to pursue.

What ever happened to "I Love New York"? It seems to be closing little by little. The high executive pays have finally taken a toll on recreation areas where residents and non-residents can enjoy the beauty of New York State as a place to visit and vacation to. Did anyone notice the new price of a N.Y.S. fishing license? R&R time away from work is slowly going away and is getting more and more expensive.

I visit and vacation at New York State Parks often. I recently purchased the (EMPIRE PASSPORT) so I don't have to pay each time I go to N.Y.S.-parks this year. Since there are now less parks to visit, will the (EMPIRE PASSPORT) fee be less too?

Fishing licenses are now $29 for this year. If one wants to fish in (what has been free) tidal waters, that is an additional $10.

Pretty soon most of the people of this state are going to pack up and move elsewhere, im personally looking into New Hampshire. Also no one from out of state is going to want to come here because its too damn expensive and no where to go! That means MUCH less tax money comming into the state, what are they going to do then?

This state is a joke...

this is a real shame.closing schuyler mansion because legislature and governor can not agree on a budget.this is going to be a major loss for albany and new york state.i worked at schuyler mansion for two years.
it was an honor to to work there
i saw the visitors reactions to visiting the mansion
young and old enjoyed their visit
the special events were always well attended.shame on the legislature and governor
for allowing this to happen
petty arguing from what i hear
democrats not allowing republicans to participate in some budget hearings.
i am registered voter in ny as independent..i urge voters to vote for change don't automatically vote for current legislators.find out where they stand on budget
hopefuly they will come to their senses, and mansion will not be closed too long

what a stupid statement.how many thrill seekers go to schuyler mansion or a state park.people go the parks for enjoyment and to camp etc.people go to schuyler mansion because they are interested in history, how dangerous is it to go to schuyler mansion or visit a state park.

Oh, and give it a few months... we'll start hearing of vandalism at these parks, etc. Then how the state has to spend all this money to repair or clean up the "closed" parks.
