The best people to interview are the those who tracked Yamamoto's attack fleet across the Pacific to the launch point, which had previously been war-gamed by the US fleet. These people were stationed in the Aleutians to track Japanese radio traffic, and knew and reported what was going. Those who died at Pearl Harbor were betrayed by their leaders, for political purposes.

Thanks for all those who died or were wounded protecting Hawaii. Japan had some cruel plans in store for native Hawaiians had they won the war. Read John Stephan's book "Hawaii under the Rising Sun."

When Japanese look at Oahu, they see a horrific tragedy of senseless death. There were endless apologies from all levels of government from the President on down. Those responsible apologized in person. The government made monetary payments to the victims. Memorials were built to honor the dead.

Am I talking about Pearl Harbor?

No, the Ehime Maru.

The Japanese never apologized for Pearl Harbor.

Do you think that they ought to put fish sandwiches on the dollar menu at McDonald's?
I really think that they should consider doing that....if not just on Friday's.
What do all of you think?

If it werent for the Chinese and Japanese, the whites would be still eating roots and rats. The Germans saw and still see a great civilization, which forged their legacy as white leaders of the world. so enjoy your lives, the Asians of the world do.

Oh, the society and culture of Japan are possibly the most racist and isolationist on Earth. I appreciate their culture but I don't like their human relations. It's just that back then America also used to do all kinds of brutality and oppressiveness toward racial minorities. So my reaction to Pearl Harbor is to shrug my shoulders and feel: "Yes, Japan's conduct was evil, but no worse than the slavery and genocide the European race has done since 1492."

You've got to remember something. Japan and Germany had semi-feudalistic traditions when the Great Depression struck, and their democratic institutions were flimsy and recent. In America, Britain and France democracy weathered the Depression because its democratic roots went back several generations. But Italy, Germany and Japan were politically retarded, and they fell to fascism.
