Excuse me folks, but can anyone tell me why they seem to arraign people from Walnutport and Slatington in Bethlehm and A-town. This was just a pot bust. I see this a lot. I know they have judges up there. Can someone tell me why they do that so much?

Walnutport is North Hampton County sp they go that court system. It doesn't matter what you do anyway, they all get off easy. Court system is a joke, Judges are jokers, and the system is a failure, and the punks know it.

I agree--let's finally legalize the harmless marijuana plant...and screw the right-wing reactionaries who want to lock up innocent people who chose to smoke instead of drink!

A whole ounce? once again, the streets are safe. I can't believe police are wasting tax pay money on something that netted far less than even 1000 dollars. If it was low grade pot, it would have been worth maybe 50-60 dollars. great priorities.

This serves as a warning to all the low level dealers. Don't believe people when they say cops dont care and arent watching for a few ounces of pot.

Pot is way more harmless than tobacco and alcohol.
It does affect your lungs, but your body can filter out most of the carcinogens. Your body becomes used to common things, therefore it can handle them better the more it is done.
Other drugs like heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, have all kinds of horrible negative side effects, AND HAVE A LETHAL DOSE. Even the majority of pharmaceuticals available today are more harmful.
Stop pot dealers will do no good. It's not going to stop anyone; it's not going to save anyone.
Go bust a meth lab or something. Do something that's actually going to help our people. Putting bud dealers in jail only makes their lives go from bad to worse. They have a criminal record which could stop them from getting into colleges, getting good jobs, etc. It can even tear apart families.
Change is necessary.

I agree that pot in itself is a pretty tame substance, even when compared to cigarettes or alcohol. That said, why should some 19 year old hang out at, say, the local Turkey Hill with his baggy-clothed, pit-bull walking friends all nite and make tax-free income and sleep all day while you and I are at work? If he got busted, that's the risk you take. Better that the Slatington police busted him instead of the parent who is speeding because they are late for work because their children were hard to get ready in a timely fashion...

Pot and alcohol is not tame, they both FU*K up the mind, they both can make you drive on the wrong side of the road, they both can kill like a wacko behind a gun, ban everything that is mind altering and drink tea and see!!!! ban pain pills, ban everything everything!!! except tequila and lemonade that is permissable

I do not smoke Pot although I have on occasion in the past. The last time was 2005 or 06. I do not foresee myself partaking again. However, compared to other harder drugs, Marijuana is not that bad and it should have been decriminalized years ago. Stop the insanity!
