Mahoning's acting chief seeks top job

Mahoning Township's acting police chief, whom township supervisors suspended last month, has applied to hold the job permanently, as have Weissport's police chief and 23 other candidates, officials said Friday.

how can someone that is suspended make application for a job? the supervisors are dragging their feet on this and people of mahoning twp should find out why. they are paying him to sit at home.

Personally I think that someone who cares about the people as much as Amie does should be considered for the job. I doubt it is all about political screwing. Personally I think that the whole thing is more than messed up and instead of doing the childing slamming some of you are doing on these comments you should be more concerned with the issues at hand.

I think some are missing the point... Amie jeff and audie never wanted marvin to be chief.(keep in mind all these "problems" they have with him existed for years.) once he finally got chief, Amie got the brilliant idea so bring these so called problems into light.

It's kinda funny. Marvin is such a bad guy but it takes him succeeding and being better than the three amigos for these problems to come out...

All I can say is they shoulda had a better plan because as you can see, in the newspapers cops aren't exactly gettin hired (experienced or not) every day... Oh and this doesn't end with them. Carbon is going to have a headache when the BIG investigation begins on most, MOST, cops in this county...

This Police force seems to have a bad reputation well, there is a new Chief in town and let me tell you something about the OLD Mahoning Township Police Department! ITS OVER.

Wow lots of tention here I see... here is my couple of cents...
Being a cop gives you power. You cant argue with me on that. But its exactly how that power is used, to determin how 'well' you do your job. Marv helped someone out, only to be stepped on in the end by a revengful 'lady'=D... She got her panties in a bunch because she wanted to be Chief. Tell us darling, was it worth it in the end? Do you have a nice shining badge saying 'Chief'? I wonder how she can sleep at night knowing people are soo out for her blood. Looks like someone made a mistake, and it wasnt our rightful Chief helping somone out.
