We can all agree that information is the best source for communicating ideas, and from information we are able to make sound judgments.
With that in mind, I as a concerned citizen decided to check up on the statements made by Ignoffo to see what the school board is really doing. I did this by reading, speaking to teachers and speaking to the administration.
I discovered upon reading his letter to my family and the newspaper article that the School Board President is deceiving the community for his own political purposes.
Ignoffo's Lie #1. Teachers make 200,000 dollars a year. This is an outright lie. For those who are interested, you may with to do some reading by going to his administration's website that has the previous union contract. It is there for you to read.

What kind of fact is that? You point us back to the school. Do you really believe in your mind that the school is going to list the teachers that make $200,000+?

I don’t believe he is making that up at all. It is common knowledge that school systems are out of control with teachers and administrative pay. The system excels in designing myths that will keep the pigs at the trough for years to come. Ignoffo appears to be on to something. I wish him the best.

i think it is a good idea to go on strike. im not just saying this because school can be boring at times, but to tell the truth, the teachers are not doing a really good job. most of my teachers keep forgeting things. they need some time off to get their minds straight

Ignoffo is wrong. No teachers make $200k. Keep believing his linesBif you want but they are inaccurate. This contract isn't for the administration so I don't k ow why people keep bringing up their salaries. Fact checker got his info right. Wish everyone investigated things as well as he/she did. Let's just hope this gets resolved quickly for all parties involved.
