Party Raid

United States

#1 Nov 14, 2006
It was like the stormtroopeers as they came in and stopped the party,The Party kids dressed to Impress in Suits and Party gowns were treated as hoodlums, I was rudely ordered to shut up and go stand against a wall, All of us were wondering what and why our party was raided. Since a supposed underage person was sent in and served were pretty upset with the Legion staff for not doing what they were paid to do and that was check IDs and provide security. Seems no Fraternity party is safe from the Sheriffs raids and maybe we should hire some legal adviser to help us see this out.
Many people were bullied about during these raids and treated as if they were criminals many of the gals were in tears, Since the supposed TIP line was used who can prove that we werent just set-up, or was it a underage person who was served while working with Police, or was it the TIP LINE...Fraternitys watch your back, The Sheriff is out to get you...Good thing we didnt have a smoke machine we could have had the ATF and Homeland security in on the raid...While the 20 plus officers were harrasing a well dressed crowd of kids having fun.
Somebody made some brownie points !!!!

My opinion is underage drinking is illegal and should not be tolerated. This looks bad on the American Legion and veterans. It shouldn't matter what kind of party it is. You do the crime and get caught its only the criminals fault. At any time any establishment can be checked for under age drinking. I guess my question would be why was there underage drinking going on? What happened to looking after each other? If you know someone is underage and drinking, why was nothing said to stop it before the raid? What would have happened if someone underage got behind the wheel of a car and had an accident, who would be responsible? The Legion, the people sponsering the party or the person who did not stop the underage drinking?
I am glad the police raided the establishment and did their job. Who knows maybe they saved someones life. More raids should be done and more often.

i have been grieved in the holy ghost for many years over these same issues.that teens think that it is cool to drink alcoholic beverages.that adults would either. i was born and raised at alton, illiois.more than a year ago i had gone to a bingo game here at risgecrest,ca.and they're bar is right there amongst the bingo hall.i heard the lords voice say to me gwen, wash your feet in the bathroom, feet washing in the bible is a sign of humiliation.and also when sins are mentioned and the american legion, the enemy satan laughs about the demons saying that they are many legions.my ex-husband rick dean harris senior died there at e.alton illinois.drunk driving on a new-years eve.and my grandmother died in a crosswalk at e.broadway, alton, illinois when i was 5 years.ran over in a crosswalk by a drunk driver that had ran a red light.bevy harris.i also know of police bars in those years though where the police would drink and drive after work hours on broadway.and i also knew of after hours basement bars owned by home owners they're businesses were in they're basements after hours and i had witnessed them serving minors after hours.but then also i cannot understand why the police and city would sit there each day knowing where the bars are right out in the open and see them all getting into they're cars day after day and not close all of the bars down.they see them don't they!and when they go to jail or prison why isnt hte judges strict enough for hopes of they're salvation? sincerely gwen [email protected] m thank you!i am now at ridgecrest, california p.o.box 1714 93556

gwendolyn sue harris, what are you talking about? Demons? Good Lord, you need to help.

Party Raid, fraternity parties are raided because the majority of them involve underage drinking. Get over it. It's all a part of growing up.

Well if you want to drink at 18, why dont you join the Military? Depends on where you are stationed you can drink at 18, You can "dress to impress"in your uniform, and you will not only be welcomed by veterans and the Legion, but YOU CAN JOIN . You dont need to join a Frat as Military gives you everything they could, PLUS pay for your education.
