As a former teacher in Hooper Bay from 1980 - 1990 I wanted to say HI to all the Warriors from the Old school and the new school. I hope all is going well for everyone and would love to hear from anyone that still remember Deb and I. I still hold all of you in my heart..........GO Warriors!

Went to school in the olden days in a one room classroom with students that were about 5 years or more older than me. There were bullies back then too....but not as violent as the bullies of today. Did not know how to speak english but, had to learn quick so I would not have to get put in a corner for a long time. Or get hit with a ruler on my finger tips if I got caught speaking my first language. My oh my times have changed. Now they have yupik immersion (sp)now. But, I do thank my teachers that were yupik like Martha Teeluk, Helen Smith and Ida Hunter. And native Hawaiian teachers that were so very understanding.
