Teacher's salaries are not going up 6.68 percent. Also, teacher salaries are determined during contract negotations (which are not done annually), so voting down the budget does NOT effect teacher's salaries. Teacher's salaries & the percent of increase (which reflects a standard of living increase) are already negotiated and will not change based on whether or not you vote on the budget. If you attend more School Board Meetings you can verify this information with them.
