Morales' lawyer, Frank Murphy of Sayville, said his client was innocent and said he planned to appeal.

Murphy described his client as a hardworking man whose profile failed to match a crime that he said "had the earmarks of some sort of gang-related slaying."

The trial was amazing...too bad the defense attorney was so horrible. He couldn't even get the defendant's name right let alone anyone else's involved with the case. Definitely grounds for appeal due to NO representation.
