They could be preparing it for demo, the whole site is actually sinking.
Do you remember when Modells dept store (Flea Market) was there?

Are you serious about it sinking?! This constant construction of new buildings everywhere is excessive already...unless, of course, they rebuild on top of it.

I contacted the Patchogue Chamber of Commerce and they said that Raymour and Flanagan and a "food store" will be put where the old Home Depot is on Rte. 112. I can't imagine a regular supermarket since Pathmark is right there. I would like to see a Whole Foods or Trader Joes.

I think it's great choice for that location, Great visability and it will clean up the eysore it is right now. Home depot moved because the building was not structually sound. I am all for the resurgance of these delapitated buldings in the area. Empty structures bring blight and graffiti to the area.

Well, that's a bummer. I was hoping for a FAIRWAY or Whole Foods or Trader Joes. Last thing we need is another supermarket selling the same old crap that we can get next door @ Pathmark. Sheesh. I currently travel to Plainview to Fairway, as it is the best supermarket on the planet.

I heard Stop & Shop. Either that's really stupid or really smart.

Whole Foods in Patchogue probably wouldn't work. Patchogue is too blue-collar and brown-collar.
