Re: the plastic bag lady from Manhasset; if the land of corn beef and cabbage is so much better than LI, why don't you move there permanently? Oh yeah, you have to give up some of your freedom's that the USA allows. Talk is cheap...actions are louder and more respectable. Move.

How do you know so much about Ireland? I was there recently and it sure is cleaner than here (and they have lots of Guiness), and oh yea possibly more freedom.

"Lots of Guiness" - spoken like a true Mick. And I'll say the same to you pal, if you think it is better than this Country, MOVE. Enjoy your Guiness, corned beef/cabbage and everything else that the land of Irish Micks has to offer.

Phooey on plastic bags in the first place. You can't stand them up in the trunk, and everything spills out all over the place. Give us good old biodegradable paper bags. Also good for garbage cans, if you may remember.
