I tried attending "services" here. It didn't last long. Thinking that a clergyperson was soon to be posted to the congregation, I tolerated the "talks" that mostly consisted of political diatribe and slideshows of members' travels, I put up with the oh-so-liberal peace-at-all-cost group who decided to lay down in the street during rush hour to protest the war, I even ignored the rampant politicking when a peripheral member of the group ran for office. That all ended when one of the congregants began stalking me, showing up everywhere I went and appearing outside my home at all hours. He talked incessantly of "gifting me" with a "loving sexual friendship" based on his expertise as a master of social work and complained in endless telephone messages of his frigid wife, his retarded son, and his Nazi mother-in-law. I was barraged with cards and letters. My car was littered with flyers for UU lectures, socialist meetings, and other leftwing propaganda left by this nutty man and the women "helping" him to pursue me.

Characterizing this bunch as a religious group stretches the bounds of credulity.

I know exactly who you are talking about. I caught him messing with my phone wires. He is totally creepy.
