Full story: Newsday

Long Island MacArthur Airport's newest waiting room is small and quiet. It has two glider rocking chairs, two footstools and a couple of changing tables.

hmmmm smoking room isnt a bad idea, or maybe just fixing all the cracks in the runways. Nahhhh this is more important.

"It's a Mothers' Room, and Islip officials believe MacArthur is one of just a few airports across the country to offer such a space."

How about a father's room for guys to relax in. Offer TV, beer and a pool table.

I think when a woman is nursing she should NOT DO IT IN PUBLIC!I remember years ago, I was about 14 and we were in a diner, this woman just whips it out and starts feeding her baby at the table! UGH!

Yes - what about a smoking room?

Ridiculous. Plan your Feedings around Traveling. This goes for Food shopping and every other aspect. If you have a kid, Plan ahead! People managed to plan ahead for many generations

What's the big problem with you people? This isn't costing you money, nor are you required to use it. Any trip on a plane these days routinely can run 6-8 hours, between getting to the airport and waiting around for flights. How is a nursing mother supposed to plan around that? Geeez, gotta b i t ch about something, heh?

Many mothers also bottle it for later use or if they are going somewhere that doesn't allow Junior to have a public titty feast.

Sure. Just to get away for a few and have a smoke and a drink with the boys and talk about tits.
since it's a public room i should go there with a camera although most of them are sagging and raw by now. The camera is a bad idea.

You're absolutely wrong. In public is where it should be done. What am I going to do during those long delays now???

Not long before you see the story about the brawl because of the inconsiderate mom who went in just to lounge her fat tush in one of those chairs.

Have the new family stay home for the first year of a kids life.

Common sense has been lost.

It's better than going through life with blinders on and then being shocked and upset because i didn't or don't know how to read the fine print.
Let's face the fact that for a long time mothers and fathers fed their children without whining about special needs. There are options for those smart enough to do their homework.
Either we make everyone special or nobody special.
If nursing mothers have their lactating udder room then I want a pool room. While we're at it the drug addicts need a room too.
OK Ronnie, now that you've had a day or so to experience life knowing there's a nursing room at Macarthur, tell us how it has affected your life.

What color were her aeriolas?

Were they dimes, quarters, or plates?

Heck, I'm a man and I want to sit in those comfortable chairs......maybe I'll bring my baby in there and let it suckle mine for a while.
