I guess he wants out.
With no cash-flow, the Head Cult Division will surely shut down this money drain of a Parish. Take away the cute statues and fancy robes and troubled priests and all you are left with is a business.

church and all who run it are evil, if there is a catholic god he would piss on the churches using his name as the biggest marketing campaign in the history of the world anyone that thinks god and religion have anything to do with each other stop being so naive and stupid, the church founded by the teaching of jesus is nothing more than the richest hipocracy in the world they should all shut down sell there vast castles and give the money to charity didnt jesus give his life for his people, so parting with some land shouldnt be to much to ask what a joke these bunch of clowns are running this disgrace of a religion

I'm an old guy who has been around a long time. Deep down in my gut I always thought that organized religion is a big ripoff. That goes for ALL religions. If someone really gets comfort in believing what the church teaches and if they do not want to harm me or convert me, then let them believe in anything they want.
Religion is a business and the people on top make a bundle, just like the top executives of any big corporation.
One can believe in a Supreme Being without buying into the notion that all those fairy tales they teach in church is reality.

How utterly horrible for a priest and bishop to do this to people! Do they have no conscience at all? Is it always all about the money? Is it any wonder people have no faith in the church anymore.
It was an Eastern church father who said Hell is paved with the skulls of bishops. Add another one to the pile.
Disgusting that this priest and bishop are allowed to remain clergy!

Yes, the business of the church should certainly be turning a tidy profit.

LESSON NUMBER ONE:
Never never get between the bishop and his money, LOLOLOL!
The church property belongs to the bishop. He can and will collect your envelopes and fundraising money up until the very day he screws you over and locks the doors to the parish your family may have belonged to for decades. At the end of his life this is his ultimate revenge on a people he hates. His 'flock' means nothing to him, isn't it OBVIOUS already?

Why does Harry Untereiner need to bankrupt the parish??? Can't he just sell the prpoerty?

No humanity...

Quote from Dirty Harry's new movie:
I know what you're thinking. "Did he bannish 250 families or only 240?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a my parrish,[and I am] the most dispicable bishop in the world, and can hurt all these nice people, you've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

Good luck to the parishioners trying to save their parish. The FOUND NEGLIGENT PASTOR of ST RAPHAELS parish in east meadow did the same thing to the SCHOOL..because he wanted to build a NEW church without having the "bother" of the grammar school--First he canceled Bingo, which was quite lucrative, then he took away OUR FAIR,..and lo and behold many smaller venues of boositng the schools monies. HE GOT HIS WAY. The School closed and the church was built..THEN HE WAS FOUND NEGLIGENT in COURT ...the huge civil case that just happened this year, finding him guilty of putting his parish in a dangerous position with NOT JUST ONE BUT 2 RAPISTS!!!!!! This parish is just sick with bad intentions at this point!!
Fight for the life of your parish!! good luck!!Get the idiots out!!!

Thats hysterical, considering he is a RC Jesuit priest who can't seem to find a job in his own particular church.
LOL!
If the Eparchy of Passaic threw out everyone who was not baptized Byzantine the emperor wouldn't have but a handful left! This kind of short sightedness is why this church is becoming nothing more than a bad memory in time.
You know what is coming. It has happened all over his eparchy during this reign of terror. Save yourself the humiliation of their slow and painful torture. The church of Christ is made up of people. Walk away from Passaic en masse next week. As a group I am sure there are many churches that would welcome you all together!
God bless you all. This bishop has much to answer for.

they need to bankrupt the parish first, in order to justify closing it for lack of resources. Somehow in their twisted minds it makes sense, LOL

Through the ages, the Catholic Chruch has rewarded Missionaries for their work bring new souls to the church and God. Untereiner and Pataki have turned families away. Many of these families are not going to any church now in disgust. God will judge them and hopefully before that, the Catholic Church will punish them for turning us away.

This is not the first parish this bishop has systematically destroyed like this. Smithtown is just one on list of church properties who have increased in value. Dollar signs are all he seems to see. The fact that most of these parishioners are Roman Catholic by birth and not ethnic 'cradle' Byzantines is just an excuse he is using to justify his twisted mindset. "Catholic" is supposed to mena "Universal" Christ began this church so that all may come to Him This particular byzantine catholic church is on its deathbed because it has refused to follow Christ's teaching. It is not open to all. It is an exclusive ethnic club with an old man and his old thinking at the helm. His lack of vision, charity and the willingness to evangelize for Christ means death to the Fatih his very ancestors brought to this country so many years ago. This will be his legacy.

In the post-Christian age we are entering, you would think true Christian leaders would want to spread their faith, not throw their own people on the streets in such a harsh and soul-damaging way. Perhaps this leader is more diabolical in nature than he is Christian, unconsciously or even consciously destroying his own church from the inside out?

This explains why the first thing he did as newly appointed pastor was to close down the nursery school and end the Religious Education program. Guess that would have been too much temptation. Sickening.
