He says he's sorry because he's worried about his job and nothing else. Anyone with half a brain would have known Iman Morales could fall if hit with a taser and sustain injuries because he was on such a small platform with nowhere to go but down.

He says he's sorry because he's human. It was a tradegy. A Dedicated 21 yr on the force LT and a solid police officer. NYPD are Dammed if you do and Dammed if you dont.

The Lt. is human and a dedicated 21 year old vet on the NYPD. Yes it was a tragedy and a sad day. But if you were not present at thr scene of what happened no one can state what should have been done unloess you were there. This Lt is a asset to the NYPD.

Too many incidents have happened with the NYPD and these officers don't face enough disciplinary actions for the things they do. Too many excuses like not enough or no proper training then maybe you shouldn't be operating a taser then! It was not properly handled, the man was mentally ill and did not have any weapons, and there wasn't nothing on the floor to protect him had he decided to jump or lost his balance. The guy fell straight down, didn't have a chance. I feel sorry for his mother that she lost her son and I hope she sues the police department.

Well, I guess now we know how truly sorry the cop was. What a shame for both families involved.

...No, now he is trying to cover his pension. He was as sick as the man he had tasered - only not as honest.
.
..I would like to see the phyicological given these officers -.- by all appearances their best defense is diminished capacity -.- mental defect..and that does not speak well of the NYPD

What they did was unexcusable. No net, disturb man on awning let's taser him maybe he could fly. Wrong.

The Lt. made a decision. Could it of ended differently, yes. Regardless, several years ago a deranged man, who walked the streets unnoticed threw a child off a roof. If Lt. Pigott gave the order to tazer him, the kid would be alive.
Hidden from the public is Morales past. He just didnt decide to go mentally erratic the other day. This has been ongoing with him. If he would of escaped and choked the life out of someone, maybe your child, you would of condemned him for not making a decision.
Dont you get it!
The Morales family can rest now that their crazy, imcompetent relative is at peace.
The only useful contribution he has made to the planet earth, is that now the family could sue and receive a substanial amount of money. They will live a lavish lifestyle and make a shrine in their living room for him.
He should of been in a mental institution years ago, but thanks to his ingnorant family they thought it best to keep him home and if anything happened they would have someone else deal with it. The family killed him by not seeking professional help he needed. This city caters to indigenous people. All the helpp was available for free.
To blame Lt. Pigott for the outcome, reveals the ignorance of the general public and all in all, the incident was also fueled by the left wing media and criminal intent of some in the community, to be present for a free show outside of cable tv and xbox.

All you that stood by and laughed while the episode unfolded, and continued to laugh and cheer and jeer....shame on you. You obviosly are in part, everything thats wrong with New York City.
Lt. Pigott made a decision. He was left with an unsupportive agency, looking to politically correct the matter at Lt. Pigotts expense, which he paid dearly.
Any city agency employee knows what I'm talking about. The city agencies are a mess. All the top people are only interested in themselves,a good speech, no problems to deal with, and to scrutinize those that work in the trenches everyday. They ride the coat tails of good decisions made by those working in the trenches, and leaves the best workers holding the bag as a form of career assasination when something goes wrong.
Does the mayor know really what is going on? NO......The Truth
