They have places with fences for the whacked out people who enjoy every aspect of life from oil and cas consumeables, but talk irrational jibberish about frac'n causing their 4th generation inbred children to be mentally retarded from the drinking water. Go figure you yankees don't even see the whole picture. I hope we pull all our people out soon and head elsewhere like colorado, whose pristine beauty has been in a harmonious balance with our oil and gas business for years! Besides retards, it is not fracking with a K, it is frac'n short of fracturing.
You people deserve to be poor and starve, eat rocks anti energy, environmental terrorists who want to deny their neighbors right to make money, because your family doesnt own any minerals....you people are no different than osama bin laden....he claims religion as his motivation....you claim protecting the environment as yours.....extremists either way. How many chemicals go down your drain every day?You people are so ignorant![/Dear Fracmaster; I too hope you "pull all your people out soon and head elsewhere"!!! As a 28 year veteran of the oil and natural gas industry in the Appal. Basin I can tell you that we never needed help from TX, OKL or anywhere else to harvest our natural gas resouces. The attitude you and many have brought up here tells us alot about your heritage. It is obvious you're a rookie. The oil and natural gas industry was founded in the Appalachian Basin and our "pristine beauty has been in a harmonious balance with our oil and gas business for many, many, many more years the Colorado, Texas, OK.
Wish I could write more, but I'm going out to enjoy our "pristine beauty". Thanks for the laugh "Fracboy" and have a great trip heading west! XXXXOOOOO

Maybe, I understand it's common for workers to be on work release or probation.

Hey, I'm all for states and counties that don't want to frac. I figure if you don't want fraccing in your area, that's fine. But, if you import it (as you all do to put in your cars and run your electric plants that power not only the manufacturer's devices that you are using to complain on this site but also the power that keeps your food refrigerated) then you should have to burden some of the cost. I.e. pay a premium. Its only fair. You want the product, you pay. Say hi to higher tax rates, and enjoy your hypocritical statements of being green. You don't like oil and gas? Try to survive without it. If you think you do now and you're using a computer or wearing clothes for that matter you're wrong.

Do you know all the men that are working very hard to do this job? No you don't because men around there could not handle a job like this so they have to get the best people out of Louisiana and Texas. So the hard working men that are out there are not animals to be locked up they have a family to support. Like my husband he is up there and he is not a animal he is a real good father to our daughter and the best husband in the world so you need to be caged up like a animal for 28 days not my husband you worthless piece of poo.

Everyone on here seems to be so angry. I understand peoples concerns and they should be addressed. Knowledge is power. There is a way for this to work for everyone. People in PA who have struggled in life are now getting the chance to send kids to college, get medical care, buy a safe home, ect. No matter what anyone says, there is a lot of good that has come from drilling. I have used the money I earn the last 15 years to start no kill animal shelters, help my church, the homeless, ect. We all are not selfish people.

I'm by no means some crunchy granola hippie and I don't care what oil drilling does to the earth. However, I am irate that rent seems to have gone up since these crews showed up. Everyone wants to rent to these drillers and they think it's perfectly fine to charge $800 or more a month for their piddly one-bedrooms. That's a lot for a hick town apartment - I've seen rooms in more urban areas go for half that amount. It's ridiculous. This is the Valley, not bloody NYC - charge rent that non-Chesapeake-affiliated Valley residents can afford, you jackasses.

And what's going to happen to all these hotels and motels once the crews are gone? No one is going to want to stay in this craphole of a town. I still laugh that someone decided to build a Hampton Inn around here.

Amen to that and I'm a drillers wife. I liked to died looking for a house down here then having to move due to asthma and I stayed sick in the last house we lived in. We can't even sell our brand new house in our home town we had to lease it for the same thing we are renting an older smaller house here for. Every house we looked at was a run done piece of crap with no yard and they wanted 1600 or 2000 a month for if you didn't jump on it then you weren't getting into a house. Home owners are moving out of their homes to lease them out. We since have moved over an hour away I love it hear away from the city, psssssssssssssssss it's tight having to day rent this high, trash, lights , and water even for a cp worker
