Sly was new to the town 10 years ago and everybody got behind him. Especially when he was going to be deported. We all love new people. Turns out he didn't care about us that much.

'THE' worst building in Rockingham'? are you one of those SR residents that only goes to BF when you need to buy gas? How about Sauve's house on Atkinson that is leaning, has broken windows and drug dealers but is not a 'key building in SAXTONS RIVER'?...where The Howard lives. How many businesses has she cost that town? It's great to see her 'actually move' on a building in her village. Too bad she doesn't live in BF, maybe they'd have a code by now to clean up their housing. or would that be too much work? Let's hope their new manager can make a difference like Barre's did. They shouldn't hold their breath though.

I agree. If this building had been in BF I doubt anything would have been done about it.

Ellen Howard should be commended for this. There was a complaint in October and its being vacated/shut down by January. Granted she's doing her job with the help of the state and she is well paid. I like to see my tax money at work once in a while. What else do you people want?

To bad Ellen didn't get out and about in BF, there are plenty just as bad as the one in Saxtons River.

Typical Saxtons River gets what they want at the expense of others.

Sly....what a joke. I admit...I had high hopes for this guy when the entire town of Rockingham raised their American flags for this border crossing con man and stood in line for his burritos. All the self righteous Prius puritans just about bombed the immigration courts with their bad breath to make sure poor poor Sly got to stay in the country legally. Then people invested in a new place for him. Then - he let the place go. Food started to stink. Help started to stink. Place hadn't seen a mop of clean water in months - and then he jumped ship for a couple of new places to run into the ground. You get what you protest for. Oh he'll warm your heart with his sad eyes and smile - but so won't a pitbull, until it decides to maul you. Pitbull's don't return calls either.

And as far as the insignificant weekly whiners of BF, crying that one part of Rockingham is more favored then the other. Hello morons - do you not recall the rroof caved in gas station on Main Street for the past 20 years?! No matter - I would like to offer to build you a cross to carry around your town. Someone made the point that people only go to BF for gas. That isn't true. BF is my mecca for Lay's potato chips, Wonder Bread, booze, drugs and maybe pick up one of those warm 40 something stool monkeys at Nick's and PK's - still looking for love in all the wrong places. Oh I see you sweethearts - light up another - you'll make a great mother someday...again. GO TERRIERS!

Ah yes, if you don't have anything positive to say, tell me and I'll say it.

Not to mention, some of the losers that were breaking into every place in Saxtons River live in that building. That's right, losers, we know who you are and where you live. Maybe you can apply for Section 8 housing in another town. I'm sure there are places to burglarize elsewhere, since our tax dollars aren't enough to support you.

I drove by this place a week ago when I heard of the impending order. Stacked trash outside, at least 25 bags, holes in the building, exposed wires. I worked for Vermont Housing when I first moved here and let me tell you this dump woud not be approved for section 8 housing vocuhers. The buildings across the street are the section 8 housing to which you refer.
Also, if they are criminals, they won't qualify either. If thee are multi-generational vermonters, they'll probably end up in one of the many trailer parks in the area or couch surf. Seen it one hundred times.

Good riddance Sly. Hope your head hangs real low. What a scumbag. Walking around town with a chip on his shoulder, yet his closet is full of dirty bones. That restaurant he owns/owned in Springfield has the worst tasting burgers and fries I've ever had. Just disgusting.

And this is an immigrant (albeit an illegal one at first) who had the rarest of opportunities presented to him - all wrapped up as the all American dream - and he blew it. He had a business(s)....a town who rallied for him....a nice home....rental property...etc etc. What other illegal Mexicans get such an opportunity presented to them? Rare indeed.
