Does not this "moron" have a family to teach him right from wrong? this "angel" served her good deeds amongst people that needed dire guidance to be a "respectable" person....this servant of god did not need to have her life end in "tragdey"....althoug h the other servants of god said to forgive this "evil" person, but it's a difficult task to under-take, viewing how "horrible" this tragdey is....RIP Sister.

Well good, another one bites the dust. Is he one of the 225 gangs supposed to be on the Rez? To forgive this scum will to be condoning his actions as pardonable. At some point we need to condemn and not forgive.

Lucky the FBI is handling this case and it will be
in Federal Court, If it became before the Eleventh Judicial District Court (McKinley & San Juan Counties), anyone of those 8 Judges would of turned
him loose-Just maybe justice will be done

Mayeaux (Moo, as in cow) should not be covering this news story and her reporting is sloppy as usual and biased.

She is a poor Catholic and has made comments about Navajos in the public at events as some knowitall who thinks she knows Navajos and DOESN'T...get her off this story!

Sister Marguerite was my teacher. I am a devout Catholic. I was really horrified at the news. It's depressing. I still can't believe I am blogging about her like this. It seems like insanity when someone murders such a nice person. Sister Marguerite was a very positive teacher in the Catholic Community. I went to Mass with her many times. We talked about prayers and the impact it makes on our lives. She was a great Catholic teacher.

One thing I learned about my Catholic experience in New Mexico is that there is Divine Retribution. The murderer will pay a horrible price. It's only now beginning. Prison is absolutely brutal to a vulnerable teen like that. And yes, I suspect that there will be backlash against the guy. Most prisoners in the southwestern USA are Latinos, and they are predominately Catholic. The gangs are not kind to child molesters according to one professor I had. One of her other students was a prison guard. I also talked to an ex-con who was a student when I was in graduate school. He told me about the "joint" and the gang rapes. I don't think that teenage guy will last long in there before getting hurt. I am basing this on the accounts of that prison guard and feedback from the others. Plus there are many documentaries on TV. The "joint" is waiting for him with all its violent gangs. It's worse now because prisons are getting more understaffed and underfunded with a growing prison population.

Sister Marguerite is in my prayers. It is such a horrible crime. She did not deserve that. May she rest in peace. Her former students will miss her.

I posted my thoughts on my former teacher, Sister Marguerite. I know I get a variety of feedback from online posters. I never read most of them. I learned on facebook that the most neutral comment on neutral topics can still get hate mail. For a controversial topic such as religion and a horrifying murder, I suspect that the feedback ranges from supportive to outright castigation.

In that regard, I just want to post that I never read them. I am Catholic but do respect Freedom of Religion. There was a Jewish student at our Catholic High School, and Sister Marguerite always wanted us to respect her despite the differences in religion. If you are not Catholic, then just know that I am aware of Freedom of Religion. I blogged with an aetheist once on Myspace. He was from a devout Mexican Catholic family but turned against it. I told him if he doesn't want to be Catholic, then that is his free will. In my opinion, religion should be a choice. However, whereas aetheists want their free will to be respected then they should respect ours too. I know America is not a Communist nation where everyone has to think the same way.

The only person I blogged with on Topix was an adolescent girl posting for one of the Disney shows. I watched that show to prepare for a Disneyworld vacation last December. When I got my 2nd master's degree at FSU I took my teenage nieces from Arizona to Orlando with my sister. My niece reminds me of that girl from the Wizards of Waverly Place, Selena Gomez. I took her hiking into the Grand Canyon last summer, which is a Native American tradition. So the adolescent girl was the only person I blogged with on Topix. Otherwise, I don't normally read responses. Take care everyone.

As for the murderer, the suspect is in custody and ready to do hard time in prison.

Glad to hear that too. The judges here can't even rule a suspected child molestor guilty, because they themselves are child molestors.

In reference to Gil Mangampo interviewed in Daily Time regard to nun death in Navajo, NM, he mentioned that the town was small and no one say "hi" to him? Did he said "hi" to people there? or did he take it into consideration that some people still don't trust Catholic priests because of the abused by priests and Catholic schools on the reservation? I am from Shiprock, NM living in Ohio, I say hi to all people, they response back with a smile or "hi", one has to be nice first?
