Everyone get the vote out, most of the Baptist live out of the city limits, keep them out of our business and this just might pass. Bringing Bonham into at least the mid 20th century.

Been to Windstar or Choctaw casinos lately. Building continually with all those Texas plates in the parking lot. Just think about what Fannin county could do with that revenue. Jobs, streets and schools. We have a federal and state based economy, which pay no taxes. Prisons and jails don't pay well, all the high paid professionals at both the state and federal installations live out of county.

Lets offer them something to move here for. That will take change in the leadership of this county. Progressive government at all levels, this good ole boy system has to go. The only way to make it happen is to VOTE.

Things can be better. The Baptists are/were back porch drinkers. They have always purchased their prostitutes, booze, and dope out of town and will continue to do so. Vote for booze and everything will get better for all concerned. Who wants to visit the new lake in a dry community? Tell the good old boys their days are numbered. New blood is here.

I spoke with one of the local folks working on getting this passed. He personally called businesses like Chili's, Applebee's, and other chain restaurants like that. None of them is willing to open a store in a town where you have to do all that silly private membership nonsense in order to buy a drink at their place. Private membership system costs them time and money, so they won't come here unless we pass this. Good point about the lake, too! Vote yes!

God Bless you Stan, I was not aware there were prostitutes in Bonham. A good drink and a whore at the end of the week, would be a good thing for a working man. As long as his family and Mother are eating and living with heat and water.

I laugh everytime the local Bonhamites predict The End Of The World if alcohol sales come to Bonham. Yes, people will be laying out in the road dead drunk or swinging from lampposts around the courthouse square. Oh, wait, they already do because of the METH and DOPE sold on the north side of the Walmart parking lot.......

Our Lord and Savior manifests in many ways. May the tragedy at the crossroads bring an awareness of the dangers of even more readily accessible alcoholic beverages to our precious youth.

Let this awful tragedy and heartache move us to defeat any change in our current laws concerning this deadly vice.

You are a first class ninny. Are you implying your sky god allowed this Jerry Springer on steroids incident? All so people must go elsewhere for adult beverages? I have heard it all.

They're going to get it anyway, whether its sold in Bonham or not. Accessability is not the issue. Parenting is the issue when it comes to teens and alcohol.

Bonham and all but two small corners of Fannin County have been dry since Hoover was president. So why do we still have all these drunk driving deaths/injuries ? People are going to do what they want even if they have to drive to another County OR State to get it. Those other areas just get to use our tax dollars to improve their towns, and we get to pick up the empty cans/bottles in front of our property between their and wherever our locals end up.
I see how Sherman, McKinney, Anna, Plano.... have all crumbled soon after going wet. Try something new Bonham, what we've been doing sure ain't working!

I think Bonham should embrace legal alcohol consumption and also legal consumption of its drug of choice. It has been unfairly bad mouthed.

After the votes are counted there will be an open bar party at the teachers lounge at BHS. There will be taxis and golf carts available to chauffeur all educators and elected officials home for the night. All other adults are advised to have your teen aged children drive you home, only after they have been allowed to have a few beers with Jaeger chasers.

You're a NUT who wants Bonham to stay the same retarded little town it's been ever since Sam Rayburn croaked. Your emotional rant attempting to connect alcohol sales to "our precious youth" FAILS. The youth of Bonham aren't very precious to begin with, they're incorrigible brats for the most part. In addition, who the hell are you to speak "In His Name"?? Who appointed you as some arbiter of community morality?? Blow your self-righteous BS out your @ss.....
